Nice place to visit for those who are interested in ancient history.Informative and extremely good response from the owner of the museum in explaining the history of the museum and giving us a good tour around it.

I visited the castle of Al Malad two days ago and i was surprised.
The castle,or better is a small old village with the traditional architecture of the Asir province, stay on the top of a hill near Al Baha.
The village ist characterized by the presence of two tower,a restaured mosque and a small but very beautiful and interesting museum.
The visitors are received by some local youngs who guide the visit and explain the history of the village.
They have also projet to continue to develop the site,to create for example a guest house in the old village.
I hope that they can find the support of the Ministry of the Culture or of the local authorities because this fully restored village could be really a juwel of the traditional architecture in the Asir.
