Enjoyed coming to this smaller fish market.
The boats outside were really neat with all the fish drying out on them in the sun.
A cultural experience. Lots of restaurants too.

100Xs yes, so many different vendors and fish to purchase from. Shark oil is everywhere, and I know, I know, while it’s frowned upon in the US, it actually has so many health benefits. In this country, it’s not taboo, it’s looked at as a medicine.
Smell in this place is STRONG! so just know that. Flies are everywhere, wash your fish or whatever you purchased VERY well and you’ll be alright.

En el Mercado del Mar, ubicado frente a las playas del Puerto de La Libertad, se encuentran diversos restaurantes que ofrecen la especialidad más solicitada por los turistas salvadoreños y extranjeros: los mariscos frescos.

En estos restaurantes se puede venir una tarde a almorzar con pescado relleno, pescado frito, lonja de pescado o sopa de mariscos, pero también se le ofrece cocteles de camarones, de conchas, mixtos, etc. Sin faltar le clásicas mariscada.
