Everything was amazing at this place. The location is more than perfect, as the bus 249 that circles Ruta de Las Flores stops just in front, the breakfast and the coffee were probably best in town and the views from the Rooftop are great, too. Staff is great, welcoming, very helpful, and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and clean. The property is very safe, too. Highly recommended!

Bourbon Hostal was such a lovely experience! The staff is one of the best I have experienced while traveling. They were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautifully designed and clean. I enjoyed the high quality hygiene products! The building is secure, modern and constructed very well. The rooftop cafe was my favorite! The view is unforgettable. The snacks and coffee at the rooftop cafe were so yummy as well. My favorite item was the banana bread! The location is very central next to ATMs, markets, parks and bus stops. I had a blast walking through the town seeing the murals, interacting with friendly faces and buying yummy food! The noise levels can get high due to the central location, however they provided ear plugs which helped a lot. I slept very well! Again - thank you Bourbon Hostal. I will be back soon as this is now one of my top 3 favorite places to stay when in El Salvador!

This place is pretty, clean, comfortable, centric, and affordable. We had secured parking at all times and an amazing city and volcanoe view at the rooftop. Breakfast was included and delicious. Staff was so friendly and helpful! Would highly recommend!

Great place! Great service! Free gated parking & breakfast is included. The people in the hotel and in the town are very nice. We arrived Sunday to Monday the place was very quiet.

AESTHETIC: This is a modern Hostal located in a beautiful town that I am just in love with! The decor is very chic with details well thought out.
WARNING: this Hostal is not located near any beaches or "super touristy" activities so if you were looking for nearby nightclubs and bars this is not the place for you. If you're looking to immerse yourself in a lovely town and get to know the people, the beautiful views, and enjoy nature activities, then here is where you want to be.
HOSTAL DINNING:The rooftop dinning area is known for its delicious coffee. The name "Bourbon" refers to coffee not liquor so even though they have beers and some liquor options, but they do not have a full bar, however the staff if very accommodating so if you need something just ask and if they don't have it, they will tell you how to get it. The food is delicious and the presentation is adorable.
LOCATION AND TRANSPORTATION: There is much to do within the town and the surrounding areas so if you're planning to stay in the area, you will have much to do. It is located about an hour away from the airport, so if you need to get out of the city or plan to go to the beaches, please have your transportation needs arranged before your trip. The Hostal is located on the corner of street near a bus depot but unless you know where you are going it can be very easy to get lost. The busses stop running at about 6pm. The staff will also help with anything you need so if you need transportation, they will figure out how to help.
VIEW: The rooftop view is of the surrounding Volcanoes. I highly recommend getting up early to watch the sunrise because it will take your breath away. I woke up every morning about 5:30am to catch the sunrise and meditate. NOISE LEVEL: The bus depot can be very noisy but so are the birds and Cigarras (Cicadadae insects) so I had no issues with focusing on the noises I wanted to hear. You will notice reviews about the noise level at nights. There are noisy neighbors who sing karaoke and burst out in laughter late at night. Honestly, I would much rather hear laughter and joy than people fighting and there was no negative noises coming from the neighbors. I live in the city and I am very much used to noise so it did not bother me at all. The Hostal provides ear plugs for the noise. If noise is an issue for you then please don't stay here because the worst thing you can do is complain about something that you have already been warned about.
HIKES AND NATURE ACTIVITIES: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take advantage of the hikes that the Hostal offers. Ask the front desk and they will arrange a guide to take you on hikes to the volcanoes and waterfalls. If you can request Erik (pronounced Eh-reek) I highly recommend you do so. What a knowledgeable man. By the end of your hike you will know what plants/trees are used for medicine, what fruits you can eat, what fungi you will bump into, I mean if you're a science nerd he's the one, THE ONE. Bring shoes with grip and understand you will get dirty and wet and you most definitely will be sore if you're not used to intense physical activity, but man is it worth it. Unfortunately, I was only able to go on one hike due to time restraints but I recommend you participate in everything they offer. DO NOT THROW TRASH ON THE GROUND. If you can, help pick up trash. I carried a trash bags and gloves to pick up trash on the way to the hike. You can leave the bag in the entrance right before the hike starts but you will have to take it with you on your way out. It can be discarded in the mayor's trash receptacle (that's what I did).
STAFF: This is an experience I will never forget. The staff made me feel like I was home and as if I were with family. No ask was too big or unattainable. Whatever you need they will figure out how to make it happen. Suleyma, Roberto, Alexis, Don Carlos, Luis, Hercules, Mariela, Mil gracias por Todo. De veras que me senti come que estaba con familia. Regreso ha visitarlos pronto!!

I was worried about the noise mentioned in some reviews but let me give my take: we were here on a Monday- Wednesday and yes, there are some silly folks doing karaoke out on the street and some annoying food ads blaring for a bit. But they quieted down around 10:30 pm and the morning traffic noise didn't start until around 7:30 every day. And the karaoke was...very entertaining 😆. The beautiful views from the rooftop coffee shop/bar more than made up for it, the room was beautiful, the location was perfect to walk to grab food nearby. The highlight of our time in Juayua was the 7 cascades hike (whatsapp Elizabeth at +503 6116 7227 for a guide) and the coffee tour at Carmen Estate (7 bucks, including tasting, both English and Spanish tours). The people working at Bourbon Hostal are super, super nice. 👌 thanks for being a highlight of our honeymoon Bourbon Hostal.

The best “Cappuccino Flatwhite with almond Milk” so far, absolutely fantastic taste. The afogato was very delicious, especially the ice cream. Waffle’s had a great taste and the strawberries were very fresh, very sweet.
The view from the roof top is amazing, it’s close to 360, with all the mountains, houses and the beautiful church in the background.

One of the best hotels I had in the region not only in this price range but at least up to 100$. The staff doesn’t speak English, but they’re very friendly, nice and helpful. The rooftop bar is a bonus.
