A museum presenting historical findings from surrounding region. A museum neighbouring the archeology museum, the both that must be visited before visiti g anciant sites such as Göbeklitepe.
Get a museum card for each person before going to the places, this is the cheapest way. You can get virtual cards thru Muze app that can be installed from AppStore for iPhones from LlayStore for Android phones.

It’s a rare gem when a museum is built directly atop historical findings, preserving everything in their original locations. You have the option to enhance your visit by renting an audio guide, which offers deeper insights into each exhibit.

A fabulous museum. It’s great how the have done it. Very bright and the walkways are perfect. Some great mosaics here. Excellent that the main ones are in their original position. Some stolen ones returned from overseas as well

This is a must see. It takes about an hour to walk through and enjoy everything. It’s well designed and preserved. They even have glass walkways which allow you to see what you are walking over. One ticket allows entry to both museums, but only on the same day. I recommend 3 hours to see both. It’s a great deal.

I passionately loved this mosaic museum- so beautifully presented. I was moved by some of the faces with which I felt I had eye contact. The artistry and craftsmanship of this art work is hard to comprehend.

Included in the price of the nearby Archaeology museum is this jewel of a find. Newly discovered mosaics and some saved from the adjacent caves across the street. The museum was empty save for me sdo I really got to relish the experience. Photography is allowed. There is a cafe and clean restrooms. The museum is wheelchair accessible. Be sure and visit the caves across the street. They are closed but a kind policeman let me inside for a glimpse.

This mosaic museum is unique. Why? Because the museum is literally " on" the site where the mosaics were discovered. Rather than moving these amazing mosaics and risk something lost in the move, the smart team kept everything intact and found an intelligent way to have visitors walk above the mosaics without damaging a single piece. What you see here is mesmerizing - including an Amazing mosaic of Jesus Christ. ''Tis museum alone is worth a 2 HR flight from Istanbul.

It's located right opposite the Necropolis and beside the Archaeological museum. Free entrance with museum card.

do not think that the famous Zeugma museum is enough to indulge in historical mosaics discovered in the region. this site may not be as big and rich as Zeugma, but I like this more as the museum is built on the actual archeological site.

Excellent mosaic museum. Spacious and clear texts. Not too overwhelming to make you lose attention. Worth a visit but need to get the entrance ticket from the archeology museum. Muzekart can be used here

A nicely laid out museum highlighting mosaics from the region.
The museum spared no expense in creating a space to showcase the magnificent mosaics. The highlights are the Amazon mosaic and the Orpheus mosaic. It is covered in the entrance fee to the main Sanliurfa Museum, and is definitely worth spending some time in.

Incredible quality of mosaics in this recently discovered Roman mansion in the center of Urfa when clearing the area to establish a park.
The building housing the museum looks like a giant flying saucer.
Take out a full day to visit the main museum and the mosaics museum, a short walk from each other.
