Nice view from the top, re-new process is there , unfortunatelly currently the castle is closed

İt was closed for a period to apply renovation we could see only from outside. Nice location ,good castle protected very well up to now. Must seen place

Silifke Castle-Mersin According to the basic findings, Silifke Castle, which is understood to belong to the Hellenistic or Early Roman Period, today looks like a medieval castle as a result of the repairs and changes it has undergone. There are arched galleries, water cisterns, ware houses and other building remains in the oval-shaped castle, surrounded by a dry ditch, built on a 185-meter-high hill overlooking Silifke. Famous traveler Evliya Celebi in his Seyahatname , XVII. He writes that in the centruy, a mosque and 60 houses. However, it is not possible to make a full determination as a some of the bastions and the inside of the castle are completely destroyed. There are 10 bastions that can still be seen in the castle. Please let's have these works and not destroy them for our own vision. Thanks.

When we visit the castle, the gate was closed because of restorations..

You should definitely visit the castle though please make sure you would not do that in summer :)

Silifke ye gittiğinizde mutlaka görülmesi gereken bir yer. Ben uzun zaman önce gitmiştim, şu anda tadilatta sanırım.

Das Silifke Kalesi ist eine sehr sehenswerte Burg, gut restauriert - nach der Besichtigung lädt ein Burgrestaurant zur Stillung des Hungers ein. Von der Burg kann man eine Wanderung zur großen Zisterne unternehmen, die etwas versteckt unterhalb der Burg zu finden ist. Im Anschluss an meinen Burg Report findet Ihr Fotos von der byzantinischen Zisterne.

Крепость построена в самой высокой точке города Силифке. К крепости ведёт узкая асфальтированная дорога с большим количеством ям. Смотрите на дорогу, так как окрестности завораживающе красивы. Сама крепость много лет на ремонте, во внутрь не пускают. Однако вид на город и окрестности со смотровой площадки просто ошеломительны. Однозначно рекомендую посетить это место.

Пешком поднимался спокойно с перерывами минут 30. К сожалению в июле 2020 года был закрыт на реконструкции. Снаружи красиво выглядит, рядом есть кафе где рекомендую попить чай (дёшево) и насладиться панорамным видом на город и реку.

Была на ремонте. Апрель 2022. Вид с горы на город и пасущиеся овцы 👍👍👍 Взяли с собой стулья и перекусить. Атмосфера супер

Helenistik veya erken Roma dönemine ait olduğu düşünülen Silifke Kalesi, 185 metre yüksekliğinde Silifke’ye hâkim bir tepede yer alıyor. Silifke’nin panoramik olarak izlendiği, etrafı hendekle çevrili olan kalenin içerisinde kemerli galeriler, su sarnıçları, depolar ve diğer yapı kalıntıları bulunuyor. Evliya Çelebi’nin Seyahatname’sinde 17. yüzyılda 23 burca sahip yapının içerisinde bir cami ve 60 ev bulunduğu yazsa da günümüzde halen görülebilen 10 burç bulunuyor.

Silifke kalesi muhteşem silifke ilçe manzarası ile görmeden gecikmeyecek bir yer . Buna ek olarak tarihi bir kale görmek insanı yıllar öncesine götürüyor. Silifke kalesi kendini korumayı başarmış durumda. Şehir merkezime 3 km mesafede olan kale gece ayrı gündüz ayrı güzel.
