GRAND SİLAY HOTEL

As someone who has traveled to Ankara many times, I can say that Grand silay Hotel has all the criteria of an excellent hotel, which is my usual choice for accommodation, for example, room service and cleaning, very friendly and polite staff, along with a detailed and delicious breakfast. Also, the location and accessibility of the hotel is excellent for those who want to trip around.at the end i want to thank you all for the great experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Silay Hotel. The experience was fantastic. The staff were polite, friendly, and extremely helpful with everything. Miss Deniz, Mr. Ugur, and Mr. Samet at the reception were wonderful.
We had to go many places with our kids and we came here by the train from Istanbul. When we needed a cab, they found us taxis in a couple of minutes which is almost impossible in Istanbul. 😄
Their breakfast buffet has lots of different cheeses, olives, warm egg dishes such as menemen or scrambled eggs, they all are so delicious.
We stayed on the top floor and we could even see Anıtkabir from our balcony at night. So cool!

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was clean, it had good room service and very friendly staff. Most of them knew english to some degree, so you don't have to worry about not being able to communicate. They are keen to help if there are any problems. This was only once the case with the Wifi and it was managed instantly by the staff. After that the wifi was mostly good. I didn't encounter any other probelms. Therfore I thank the staff for being friendly, helpful and up to the task. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Overall the hotel is very much recommendable, especially because they offer good prices for their rooms.
Edit: Döndü hanim helped out a lot with extra wishes regarding room service!

I had a great time during my two weeks stay. the rooms are comfortable. service is nice. The employees are experienced. The Kızılay square is very close to here.

Great location, clean room, comfortable bed, and good breakfast. More importantly, the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Their English is not good and we didn’t speak or understand Turkish, but they tried their best to help us. I would definitely stay here again if I visited Ankara again. Thank you! Just have in mind, the internet speed is not great, and the economy room doesn’t have a desk if you plan to work

It's a really nice hotel with comfortable rooms and a good outdoor area to relax in. The staff are highly enthusiastic and remarkably caring. The breakfast is rich, offering a variety of food options. The owner of the hotel is a humble and accessible individual who's always present, ensuring everyone receives the best service. I stayed at Grand Silay Hotel fort the second time in August 2023. Everything was exeptional - great location, clean and big rooms, excellent breakfast, affordable price, friendly staff. Hotel manager Mr. Kuntay Kartal is personally interested in the guests' needs and desires. I strongly recommend everyone to stay at Grand Silay Hotel when they visit Ankara.

I very much liked my stay in this hotel. By comparison with other hotels in Ankara and their prices, Grand Silay provides quite an excellent service. Nice breakfast buffet, comfortable rooms, friendly staff and convenient location. I would definitely consider staying at Grand Silay during my next stays in Ankara.

I have been staying for 2 nights in the Grand Silay Hotel in Ankara.
I have been in the 8th floor - the view was amazing and the balcony very big.
The breakfast was very good.
Good price/value ratio.

I have reserved this hotel for the second time according to my last great stay at this hotel. I would like to congratulate the management for choosing such a polite and helpful staff. It is located in Kızılay, really close to any kinds of public transport. Taxi station is just across the hotel. Room cleaning service personnel is the best. They have such a welcoming manner and the room cleaning service is satisfactory. you can have a delicious breakfast with various items and enjoy your tea and coffee in the lobby or outside area. Also I would like to thank the staff of the reception, security and restaurant. you can freely write your comment on the paper and they would do their best to apply your requests. There are also a lot of restaurants and shopping centers around the hotel. Highly recommended💫

All I can say is this place with a great hospitality is the best place that you can find!

The management is cool and responsible, the staff are polite , rooms are clean, breakfast is amazing and also the location is both quiet and centeral.

Wlan works very good! The staff is very friendly and the breakfast good - the bathroom is clean - can only recommend!!!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 and a half weeks. Guest are not allowed at the hotel unless you pay for their visit. Even if the guest was not staying for the night you still had to pay. I didnt use the spa service so I have no comment regarding that.

Staff: The staff were all friendly and helpful. Even though their ability to speak english was limited (some staff were able to speak more or less than others), they still were friendly and did their best to accommodate me despite the language barrier. The cleaning lady on my floor (floor/kat 5) was very friendly too (also not knowing much english. The doorman helped me with my luggage checking in and also helping me connecting to the wifi.

Room: I reserved a standard room. Its perfectly enough space for 1-2 people. The room was clean and neat when I arrived and they have a mini refrigerator with soda and water in them. Drinking the soda cost money , however the water is free. The bathroom was sufficient, however, the shower was a little small but no big deal there. Also their was an rotten egg smell coming from the bathroom at times.

Service: Laundry service in my opinion was a bit expensive but they do all the work for you. taking your clothes, washing, drying, and then folding them and returning them back to your room and wow my clothes smelled really good after receiving them. Internet was a bit inconstant at times but it wasnt too slow. Room service sometimes was slow. I time I had an order for coffee and it never arrived, and my order for tea one day arrived after 30mins. But the tea, in my opinion, was amazing. Shuttle service back to the airport was fast and cheap and they will drive you personally to there at anytime.

Breakfast/food: As a foreigner, I am not a fair judge by judging something I am very unfamiliar to eating. So to me it was not all so good. They had cereal, boiled eggs, and other common breakfast things but the mostly served Turkish breakfast staples like cheese, yogurt, and some vegetables. Again, something I was not familiar to after being so used to american breakfast.

It is a great hotel. The location is only a 5min walk from kizilay station if you are planning to visit alot of locations around Ankara. I would definitly come here again.

All in all great place with great prices for the region!
