Cast in stone 🗿🗿🗿

Awesome men of rock carved straight out of a shear cliff face. The hike down to this ancient wonder is truly a death trap 🤣🤣🤣

There's a staircase carved out of the rock which is definitely not OSHA approved and even me is quite a tall guy had some serious difficulty making my way down buuuuuut the juice was worth the squeeze 🤘🤩

Awesome spot to watch and sunset. Truly beautiful 🔥🔥🔥

This is the holy place and graves are carved in the rock with sculpture figures also carved on the rock .When you arrive there first you meet the ancient ruins of the holy places and then if you follow arrows on the rocks ,you may reach to see incredible graves on the rock .
Please be aware of the fact that if you don’t have tracking or climbing shoes,if you don’t remember when you were in a gym last time , do not try this parkour. There were some deadly accidents all the time .I had beach slippers so I decided to stop on the half way ,it seemed to risky .
Third foto is not mine but I wanted to give anyway to show what I missed.

Exceptional panorama. Man of rock are a bit tricky to find. You have to follow some red arrows marked on rocks. The trail is abrupt but with care at every step is manageable. Be careful not to ware slippery foot ware.

Marvelous, mystic and very ancient place. Quite hard to rich: you must almost climb down the rock. Hands must be empty. There's no touristic facilities around.

Ancient Roman reliefs, rock carved figures represent the people from different classes of society. It's thought to be a memorial of thier dead ancestors (the valley is incredibly silent and peaceful). It is not easy to climb down and back, shoes are important, hands must be empty, should better be wearing comfortable clothes.

If you are wondering “where is it?”. Go to the information board of Adamkaylar and follow the red arrows.
If you have any health issues as back pain or knee problems I don’t recommend to go down as there will be no one to help you.

The road is not so good but it is worth checking out for the view and ruins.

One of the best places I’ve been to in a long time. Slightly difficult to get to. Would recommend wearing good shoes and not having too much of a fear of heights. It was a lovely valley and rock face.

Adamkayalar is a region closer to Kızkalesi, located between Silifke and Erdemli, in Mersin. While driving from Kızkalesi to Erdemli, you will see the Uzuncaburç sign. When you enter from this sign, you will see the Adamkayalar sign after about five or six kilometers. If you go too far and see the Hüseyinler sign, you have missed the road. You enter a rough road from the Adamkayalar sign. If you do not have an off-road vehicle, park your vehicle in a suitable place without taking too long. After parking your vehicle, follow the arrow signs painted on the stones that show the pathway to Adamkayalar. The trail is a bit rough so be very careful. Experts examine the Adamkayalar ruins in two parts. In the first part, the Karyagdı (Mitan-Miytan) Valley, -as the people say, the Devil's Creek- rock reliefs carved into the rocks of the canyon, and the ruins in the second part. Remains of the castle, bastions and settlements on the hill in the north-east of the valley. From where the ruins are found, you can go down to Adamkayalar by following the stairs carved into the rock. Adamkayalar are depictions of a four-death feast with 11 figures placed in a frame. In the feast of the four dead, father, mother, children are depicted. The sons of the dead and two men on the relief are carved as soldiers. The Adamkayalar reliefs are a five-step composition carved into the rock for ritual purposes. It is understood that the names of the priests who died were written on the inscriptions under the reliefs. Adamkayalar was processed in AD 200. There are 11 men, 4 women, 2 children and a mountain goat figures in 10 different compositions carved into the rocks. Roman eagle relief can be seen on the pediments of some niches.

Incredible! It’s a bit of a climb and a hike and the path is hard to find but it’s worth hunting for it. The path is cut steps into the rock some of the way down so look for that. It’s skiers left on the slope. Go, it’s stunning, a very spiritual place

Amazing place. Very hard to get there, you need proper gear ready for climbing and walking on all four, but worth each step visiting. It's a bit complicated so better have someone who knows exactly where the place is.

Fantastic rock carvings not seen elsewhere. Really tough to follow the route down, and not for the faint of heart. Wear shoes with good grip and don't go if the rocks are wet.

Adamkayalar (literally "man-rocks") is a location in Mersin Province, Turkey famous for rock carved figures.
Adamkayalar is on the southern slopes of the Toros Mountains only several kilometers north of the Kızkalesi and Mediterranean coastline at about 36°31′30″N 34°03′15″E. Distance to Kızkalesi, the coastline town is 7 kilometres (4.3 mi), to Silifke is 32 kilometres (20 mi) and to Mersin is 66 kilometres (41 mi). Kızkalesi is on the Datça-Mersin highway. To reach Adamkayalar the travellers have to follow an asphalt village road of 5 kilometres (3.1 mi). But the last 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) of the path which detaches from the village road, leads to a gorge named Şeytanderesi. The rest of the road is impassable by the motor vehicles and in order to reach the rocks the explorers should climb down.
On the rocks facing the gorge, there are carved figures in 9 niches. These are the figures of 11 males, 4 females and 2 children and 1 ibex. (The name Adamkayalar means Men-rocks) On pediment, there are also the figures of Roman eagles (Aquila). [1] No document exists about the origin of the figures. But these figures are probably from the second century
