Grand Kaptan Hotel

Everything was really great! The rooms are clean and beautiful, they are constantly cleaning. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and the offer is plentiful. The desserts are amazing. I can only recommend! We'll be back!

So having read the reviews, I was a bit nervous about taking my whole family here and had some real reservations about this holiday.

Firstly, I have to say, for the money that we paid, the hotel was really good. I certainly wouldn't say its a 5 * but more like a 3.5 - 4 * which is absolutely fine. The things that the hotel could control were really good, the pool is lovely with the addition of the 2nd pool with slides, the food was good although a bit samey but what they did put out was really good quality. (We had a couple of vegetarians in our party and there was an adequate amount of selection.)

The room that I had and the other room that my wife had (both with our respective children) were really good. There was ample space, the air con was an absolute godsend and the rooms were cleaned and reset everyday.

The location of the hotel is perfectly fine and is about a 10 minute walk from the local shops in Alanya. There are a couple of local supermarkets, both within a quick and easy 5 minute walk away. The beach and the jetty are just through a little walkway which is really handy.

The hotel is certainly child friendly and all of the staff that I encountered spoke at least a little bit of English but we managed to get by. They were all really kind and I couldn't fault the staff in the slightest. They also had entertainment on in the evenings which was actually brilliant. I've been to plenty of hotels with drab, boring shows in the evening but each night was something completely different and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!

One thing I would say, as a British person who is used to smoking being almost a thing of the past, a lot of Europeans chain smoke around the pool which isn't fantastic when you are trying to relax around the pool. Again, this isn't something that the hotel can control but its worth noting this if you are a non smoker.

All in all, we had a fantastic holiday at this hotel. If you take the mindset that you get what you pay for, you will have a fantastic time. If you go, thinking you are going to get a 6* hotel like in dubai, you will be disappointed. Thank you again for making some great memories and we will probably be back in the future 😁

we went to this hotel through an agency, I can't say anything else that it made our holiday wonderful, availability, excellent staff, truly wonderful food, 10 praise view, small entertainment, the terrace including a bar with a crazy view, transport to the guaranteed city center!

I've stayed here for a week in august and I highly recommend it, especially if you have kids.

Everything was well kept and the rooms were clean. The room service was great and the food was also good. There are at least 6 bars and the most noteworthy is the moonbar that opens at 6 and offers a great view and, there is also a non-stop bar in the lobby for all of you nightowls ;)

There are two pools and a small amphitheater where every night there are various shows for young and old. One of the pools has waterslides and there is also a tunnel that takes you to the private beach. On the beach, the sand is gravelly but this is not necessarily a problem since the rocks are not sharp.

There is also a bus that takes you to the city center if you want to visit the old fort and the bazars. If you want to take a bus to the old fort, you can find a blue bus next to the Friday bazar that goes up every hour for 1 Euro. In the bazar, there is rarely any price tag on things so you have to haggle if you want to buy stuff at a lower price. I am personally not a fan of this but some might enjoy it.

Overall, it is a great bang for your buck and it is worth visiting.

A very beautiful location , good food, friendly staff, clean rooms with mini bar, seife, climate system and are cleaned daily and the mini bar is fed. Beach access through private passage, with serving drinks and food there. Daily evening is entertainment time for children then for adults. Transport provided to the town center by bus of the hotel.
The only thing you pay extra for is the internet if you want it throughout the hotel, in the hallway of the reception is free.

We are into our second of a three week stay here and so far it has been a wonderful experience, from entering the hotel early hours we were soon booked into our room which is perfect. The meals here are of superb quality as is the standard of the staff. Of the many bars, the staff treat you with every care and attention. Wonderful hotel, worth a visit.

nice place and nice view we got from the 5th floor. clean. nice stuff. great kids club and good food. looking forward to stay there one more time :-)

If you can cope with the 3 hour transfer then the area is absolutely fantastic, loved the place and people, hotel is great, had everything I needed, go all-inclusive for best value, proper efs beer in proper glasses and food was excellent with lot of choice

We stayed 6 days as honeymoon couple. The customer services made so many jests for us like even change our room view, room service with some extra wine and fruit also they add some heart shaped pillows :)
only and only thing i suffer here is COFFEE. PLEASE MAKE İT AVAİLABLE EVERWHERE. Other than that it's perfect place for couples and families

very nice staff, good service and professional, you never go around hungry, there is always something, one of the big hotels in Alanya with two pools, free transfer at regular intervals to the city and back. there were some people who made a good impression on my heart and were very kind to us, Arzu, Sarkan, Mustafa and some others whose names I do not remember. I really recommend the Grand Captain hotel and I will definitely be back.

Very nice hotel. The hotel has its own beach with posibility of water sports (for fee) and sunbeds with umbrellas (for free). There is also beach bar with posibility of having lunch right on the beach. There is lifeguard tower on the beach. It was very nice holiday :)

Nice place and Good management

Two times visited in last two years ago, first time not good enough to be 3 stars hotel and resort, but the last time is too good for 5 stars hotel, after all staff changed
