Great location, the owner is quite nice and always around.

For a lighter lunch the stuffed chicken was my choice! No regrets, succulent and tasty! Portion was just the right size 🙃

The view is amazing, you have options to seat at the sun or enjoy a breeze from a comfortable shadow.

They are pet friendly and speak good English!

We went here for my daughter's birthday. Food and service were great.

Ravioli and seafood casserole were lovely. Plus honestly the best fillet steak that I have ever eaten! Manager Mustapha is the main man and cooks all steaks on demand.

Highly recommend! Proper hidden gem as it is at the start / end of strip (depends on how you view it).

Guys are very hospitality. Guest's oriented. We ordered seafood pasta and couple of drinks. Pasta was delicious with lots of seafood in it. Beautiful view from terrace as well. Lovely, thank you!

Many people will walk past this wonderful restaurant on their way down to the centre of Kalkan. They will be missing out on a wonderful restaurant. A fabulous, diverse menu is served by friendly staff on an atmospheric terrace overlooking the sea. The seafood, in particular, is highly recommended.

My wife and I have stayed in kalkan many times over years and we eat out every night when we are away I have never eaten at Alternative restaurant before and we decided to give it try to tonight we are here with family this year and we are a party of four To my surprise the food was unbelievable the service was also exceptional the price is cheapest in kalkan and they gave us free meze complimentary drinks and Turkish delight which we have not been given at anywhere else since we have been here
I was very surprised that this business was nowhere near busy enough. so please give this restaurant a chance save money get the best service and eat the finest food available in kalkan

There are loads of excellent restaurants in kalkan and Alternatif is certainly one of them.
We visited on both our first and last night on this year's visit.
We are very much looking forward to going back on next years holiday.

Visited twice, once for my daughter's birthday and then again later in the holiday. The steak was gorgeous, but what really made it was that whilst we had good service elsewhere in Kalkan this was a cut above the rest.

Best steak I've ever had. It quite literally melts in your mouth. If you come to Kalkan, and you don't try the steak here then you've definitely missed out and wasted your trip!!

Be aware that the current prices are 400 Turkish Lira for a main (£20), £7 for an imported spirit and mixer, and £3 for a local Efes beer. This is standard pricing for all restaurants in the area, so this restaurant isn't expensive for the area!

Definitely try the steak, you won't regret it.

had the most lovely meal here tonight, started with prawns and calamari garlic and lamb samosas, the best samosas we have ever had and then shared the Chateaubriand, melt in your mouth, cooked to perfection. Service was good, we didn't feel rushed and so glad we tried, thank you for a lovely food

Just finished my second breakfast. Been here 2 weeks and keep coming back. 3 world class steaks, and 2 fantastic breakfasts. Well priced, lovely venue, staff and owner are friendly and a good laugh. An excellent venue to start the night before heading down to the harbour for drinks.

I have never been to kalkan before and Out of the few restraunts I went to, this one was by far the best.
We were their first customers since two years after closing, we were reserved an amazing spot while still we went shopping, we ordered our drinks and they were amazing! The ice tea is lovely! I had the chicken skewer and it was absolutely delicious, my younger sister and I were given free ice cream which I must say was very nice of them. Overall this place is somewhere you MUST go to if you are in kalkan, I can’t say anything bad about it because it was so good. If you are someone that wants to know about the toilets, I’ll review them; the toilets were just behind the bar, easily accessible, in the ladies toilets there was a sink, two soaps and some other things you might need, eg. air-freshener. There was one toilet cubicle and it was very clean and worked well. (no broken flush-buttons or dirty toilet bowls) the toilets were about a 9 out of 10 because of there only being one cubicle, but thats the onky reason why.
Personally i would definitely come here again without hesitation.

Still the best steak in Kalkan, great service and decent prices when compared to other steak places. The chicken liver starter is also amazing.

Amazing, off the main drag, don't be fooled by the downstairs chilled out cushions, climb the stairs to a fabulous roof terrace and food as good as you would get anywhere, so good? Steaks are amazing..
