Eu passei minha vida inteira tentando aprender chines, nunca sai do basico, mas em 2018, quando fui para Taiwan, fiz um curso intensivo de 3 meses e posso dizer que aprendi muito. Me apaixonei pelo campus, pelo curso, pelos professores. Eu senti que eu nunca aprendi tanto chines como aprendi na NTU. Agora comparando esse curso com os outros cursos de mandarim, me faz realmente sentir falta da NTU

I took a winter course with with last year. TL;DR: good for beginning and intermediate students, not for advanced students.

The good: They fulfill the niche of cheap language classes at NTU, thereby contrasting the very expensive ICLP. For the majority of students who beginning or intermediate learning, it's probably fine for them, though they should know they won't learn as fast as at a more rigorous program.

The bad: For advanced learners, they have only one reasonable class. They decided my speaking wasn't good enough and kept me from taking this class, forcing me to retake a class equivalent to a class I took a few years prior in college. I protested this as much as I could, but they would not let me take the course I wanted even though it would have come at almost no cost to them. I learned very little in the class, and thus was not engaged at all. I left Taiwan early after the course ended, in no small part because I wasted three months at their school.

Do not even think about coming to this university if you have a scholarship. They will tell you they can pay the stipend one month then randomly change it, leaving you with no payment for that entire month. Go somewhere else. They have no idea what they’re doing.
