SPOT Huashan cinema

Love this independent cinema, they screen curated films and the crew is very friendly. The place is very tidy and bathrooms are clean. Movies start on time and they play a few trailers before the start time. Sometimes there are collaboration with local film-makers and they set up a booth outside the cinema.

Lovely little theatre in the Huashan Creative Park. Usually a good selection of both popular, revival, and independent films at a low price.

When I arrived at this spacious place, it was quite mysterious and dark. But I enjoyed strolling and browsing the various exhibits and characteristic restaurants even during the evening time!

It's a rather small art cinema, comparatively to other corporate ones. Even so, the seats are cozy. The staffs are friendly and the enviornment is rather clean. They dont sell any food or confectionery here though, so you would need to buy them beforehand to bring into the theatre. (Yes, you can bring food from outside into the theatre.) The price is rather reasonable, not anymore expensive than other cinemas in taipei. If you do decide to come here often though. They do sell a ticket book, of ten tickets, for 1900. This lowers down the price to 190 per visit. It's definitely a bargain. Id definitely reccomend this cinema.

I love local small cinemas - they play more artistic, local movies and are not that crowded. This one also has a little DVD shop, stationary shop and a coffee shop :)

I went there once and saw a Taiwanese movie with English subtitles. A lot of the movies has English subs, but not every, so better make sure before buying a ticket.

Love this theatre, I come all the time! This theatre plays the off mainstream theatre films (Roma, Parasite, European, local films and other Oscar winning films before they were in huge theaters like showtime or Vie Show Theatres) You can book early bird tickets for only 200 NTD!

Seats are comfortable and the cinema is bigger than expected for some artistic films. They sell Hua-Shan excluded ticket package for 10 tickets costing $1,900 TWD. If you also like their another spot in Zhongshan, get the membership for $500 TWD/year and you can buy one ticket at $200 TWD.

Great movie selection! The location is great. Buy your tickets early, then explore the exhibits in the Huashan creative park. Better than going to qsquare :)

Lovely independent cinema offering a good selection of both English and Mandarin films. There's a discount of 20NTD if you have a valid student card.

One on my favourite movie theatre in Taipei. Founded by Hou Hsiao Hsien. The cinema houses many film festivals as well. Nice cafe named after Hou Hsiao Hsien's film 'Café Lumière' in the same building.

One of the most fascinating places in Taipei.

Correct color of the screen, and after movie you can hang out the whole Huashan to find out some good stall or concert. Peace out.
