Great peaceful place. Four simple bungalows right on the beach, with a fantastic view of the ocean.
Sia cleaned the bungalows perfectly every day, and she also gave a wonderful massage in her little massage cabin on the beach.

Right on the beach, small bungalows have great views of the beach and the amazing sunrises.
Simple, clean, comfortable
Hassan and his team works hard to ensure everyone is happy. Arranging any tours you would like and recommending things to do.
His fish and lobster dinners are the best around.
Breakfast here is simple fresh fruit and eggs, always tasty

Beautiful small bungalows, stylish accomodation right at the beach with stunning view at the ocean. Very quiet place. Beautifull long beach full of shells, possibility of snorkling in famous Blue lagoon. Very nice staff. I loved it there, can recommend. Date of stay: 2/2016.

What a lovely little hideaway:) the bungalows are great, the beach is calm, the ocean is warm and the host, Mohammed, is very friendly.
A slight distance away from the nearest town, Bwejuu, but this is a good thing!

Great location: right on the white sand, quite, local, relaxed, nice staff and with a stunning view of the reef.

Ein sehr ruhiger Ort mit herzlichen und fürsorglichen Angestellten. Direkt am Strand, stilvolle Zimmer mit Frühstück. Möglichkeit zu Abend zu essen (frischer Fisch). Der nächste größere Ort (Paje) ist fußläufig in ca 1h erreichbar, die "Blaue Lagune" (Möglichkeit einer Schnorcheltour) ebenfalls. Alternativ lässt sich die Wegstrecke per Fahrrad oder Moped-Taxi zurücklegen. Trotz des im Verhältnis zu anderen Angeboten etwas gehobeneren Preises, lohnenswert, einfach gehalten und entspannend.

Très bon accueil, personnel sympathique, magnifique emplacement, chambre simple, nourriture copieuse et variée. Bref, on conseil vivement...

Cool private place

Petit hôtel très convivial avec ma fois, des bungalows très simples et un peu vetustes mais qui ont leur charme. L'endroit n'est pas très touristique et donc très calme, ideal pour se reposer. Le personnel est très sympathique, notamment le manager qui nous nous a toujours rendu service pour organiser des sorties ou commander des taxis. Il est aussi un excellent cuisinier. Rapport qualité prix plus que correct. J'y retournai si l'occasion se présente.

Hassan and his brother and the crew with the nice ladies are just amazing. Friendly, nice, every time smiling and they make all what you need that you can be happy and confortable.
unfortunately the owner couple based in Canada are scammers. So if you want to book (separatly not by air-bnb, directly on Webside), do not give your credit card number for authentification under any circumstances. They took over $ 130 off the card without asking. Far more than the $ 1 for review. The email that came up was a shame and lied to everything they wrote. So be very very careful.
Hassan and his crew give the very best that the Upepo Beach Bungalows does not go under. Clean, cosy, dream view, all really perfect, but not storys with this canadien peoples. The owner has cheated on some people, not only me. I met people who also had very big problems with them. Always about money. Maybe someone will report also one day to Air-Bnb. Make booking anyway there, so they can not cheating you. Do not make booking on their Homepage please!!!!

There is only one place in zanzibar so far where i did not have good food. And it was here. The price for the dish was very high, but the fish seemed very cheap and dry. There are so many better places to eat around.
