La Base Restaurant - Beach Bar

A nice little restaurant with a sea view.
The food is very good and tasty but the focaccia is amazing!
I suggest dining on the terrace as it's fresh for lunch and is less windy in the evening.
It's perfect for an aperitif looking at the sea and drinking an Aperol spritz.
They also organise kitesurf lessons and rent equipment as well.

Good food, short waiting time, focciatta as a bonus appetizer, great view on the ocean and chill atmosphere. I only dislike the loud music that comes from the terrace. When I'm at the beach I like to enjoy the sound of the ocean, not loud music, but that's the matter of the preference, I guess.
No, I don't mean local/afro music, I mean music from your speakers 😅

The place is nice & cosy, and the food is delicious. The view from the upstairs is lovely. We eat several days here, for lunch & dinner also.
I really liked for dinner calamari with chips. The tuna was also just fine grilled.
Since we eat for several days here, we tried different foods, and pastas with tuna or seafood were also very tasty.
Between my favourites are the fish soup, served with foccacia and octopus with coconut souce and rice.

Fantastic place. Owner Maria takes so good care of her guest, and the food is AMAZING. Bartender and staff also so nice!

Prices a bit higher than other beaches, (i say beaches, since the price level seems more or less the same at the other places here, except when you go to the local village.) At for example Jambiani beach you have a bit cheaper prices, but then of course they dont have italian food, NOT LIKE THIS.

We had a great experience there.
The food was very tasty and price was reasonable.
The view is amazing. We can definitely recommend this place.

Extremely helpful owners. They went above above and beyond to help me with my travels. Rooms are very clean. Nice warm showers with plenty of water. AC for hot Zanzibar nights. Great restaurant on the beach. Perfect kite location as well. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed this restaurant very much. The food is really tasty and is quite a lot so you will be full. They bring you little foccacia as starter for free. They have really cute dog there. Ladies the owner is really handsome italian guy 🙈

Senza dubbio il mio posto preferito a Zanzibar, sia per il cibo che l’atmosfera che si respira … servizio top, personale super attento ad ogni esigenza, pressi super onesti . Ho anche alloggiato nel loro B&B e anche quello è impeccabile : a due passi dal mare, con una piscina stupenda , super pulito e con delle camere davvero belle e curate . Tornerò sicuramente !

Ho passato 12 giorni presso il B&B La Base con mia madre, ed ogni giorno non abbiamo potuto fare a meno di mangiare al ristorante sulla spiaggia.
Vista meravigliosa, servizio top e qualità del cibo fantastica.
Grande varietà.. da pesce a carne, pizza, poké.. di tutto! Abbiamo praticamente assaggiato tutto e il menù ed era sensazionale.
Grazie ai ragazzi della base per la loro accoglienza e professionalità.
Ci avete fatte sentire come a casa.

Posto magnifico, pulito e ben organizzato. Personale super gentile e disponibile con tutti i clienti, sempre a disposizione.
Ristorante in terrazza in riva al mare di ottima qualità e fornito di qualsiasi cibo e bevanda.

Bellissima location sulla spiaggia, abbiamo cenato una sera in 10, molto gentili e professionali. Il cibo è molto buono, il proprietario ci ha consigliato degli ottimi vini sudafricani.
L' abbiamo scoperto tardi, alla fine della vacanza, peccato....
Lo consiglio a tutti quelli che si trovano in questa zona di Zanzibar.

La base è famiglia, voglia di mettersi in gioco, umiltà, sacrificio e passione. Accoglienza e disponibilità la fanno da padrona in una location mozzafiato. Personale fantastico. Rich e Cristian sempre pronti con un sorriso ad accontentare ogni esigenza. Camere nuovissime, pesce sempre fresco e divertimento assicurato. Se vai a Zanzibar esiste soltanto un nome “LA BASE” 🫶

La Base B&B è il posto perfetto per una vacanza a Zanzibar! La struttura è molto bella. Proprio sul mare. Il personale è gentilissimo e disponibile per ogni singola richiesta. Il rapporto qualità prezzo è il migliore di Zanzibar! Raccomandato assolutamente

Abbiamo soggiornato 12 giorni durante il nostro viaggio a zanzibar e sia la nostra camera che per tutti i servizi non abbiamo riscontrato niente da ridire.
Un ambiente intimo e amichevole e allo stesso tempo da un grosso senso di sicurezza.
Ambiente top per chi cerca riposo e tranquillità in una posizione strategica per tutte le destinazioni dell'isola.
I proprietari molto disponibili come tutto lo staff per qualunque necessità

Posso solo dire che alla base ti fanno sentire a casa, Cristian, riky e Roberta Davvero davvero unici, gentili e professionali in tutto. Cucina ottima e soprattutto buonissima. Baristi locali davvero bravi e simpatici, White party fantastico, dj 💯💯💯top.Non vedo l'ora di tornarci presto!!!

Ottimo posto dove mangiare. Maria, la proprietaria, è una persona gentilissima che ci ha sempre accontentato. Da provare il chapati rolls con pollo e verdure. Simpatico anche il cane di nome Polpetta che si riposava sotto il nostro lettino. Consigliatissimo.
