Amasiko Homestay

I had a wonderful stay at Amasiko Homestay. The food was delicious, with a 3 course meal each evening, and the hosts did everything they could to make us feel at home. The cottage we stayed in had a spectacular view over Lake Bunyonyi and the secluded location makes it a perfect spot to relax. We also enjoyed canoeing in the lake. Highly recommended.

Amasiko is the perfect place to visit if you want to go off the beaten track because its far outside of the touristy part of Lake Bunyonyi! The cottages are comfortable and the views over the lake are perfect. Those views become breathtaking when you see a sunset. I believe they have the most stunning ones of the entire lake. The owners are very friendly and charming and the food is delicious. My girlfriend and I also made a tour to visit the Batwa people, the school they run with their profits and hikes around the area. I can recommend this to everyone.

A wonderful place to escape into an eco-lodge set on a picturesque peninsula with stunning views over the lake.

Each cabin (ours was zebra) is sited in the quiet treeline and are basic but comfy and clean and great value for money.

You can properly escape here and just watch the birds and time fly by.

Wilfried and his Team are very great. I stayed for 3 Nights and had the honor to learn something of his work he is doing. They organise a school for kids financed by the Eco-Hotel lodge. Also they teach people how to manage the Lodge or to educate childs etc.
The Amasiko Homestay is an important part of this area to develop it.
I can recommend everybody to visit this wonderful place with his wonderful pepople, everything is fine, the food, the people, the area.

Perfect place for a holiday with lots of experiences from the community and the staff at a as I'll green school and resource centre and "wilfried" the owner is very welcoming and friendly.

Amasiko is in the Western lake's side, which is much more dramatically beautiful than the East side. You will gonna see a lot farms, birds and local people. The homestay is comfortable, the food amazing, and they have a beach. It is also a NGO. They run a primary school and a permaculture farm.

I had such an amazing time at Amasiko Homestay! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the location is gorgeous. I will certainly stay at Amasiko again when I’m in the area!

Great place for camping or sleeping in one of their good-value for money cottages. We did hike in the mountain, boat trip on the lake and swimming.

Stayed here twice and it was perfect! Ideal picturesque location and wonderful hospitality.

Als je van kamperen houd, is deze locatie perfect. Mooie en schone slaapkamers. Douche en toilet is gezamenlijk gebruik. Echt mega lekker gegeten en gezellig met de eigenaren en kind aan een grote tafel. Echt aan te raden.

Bijzondere locatie met een interessant verhaal. Kamers zijn prima, wel wat krap. Niet toegankelijk voor mensen met een fysieke beperking; het terrein is slecht begaanbaar.

Geweldig verblijf, met een buitengewone ligging! Vlakbij het meer waar je zonder problemen in kan zwemmen. Het eten was super lekker, en je voelt je meteen thuis in de familiale sfeer. Aanrader!

Wahnsinnig idyllischer Ort am Zipfel einer Halbinsel. Alle Zimmer super BASIC, und aufs wesentliche reduziert. Bett und Ausblick! Herzlicher Stuff, leckeres Essen, sehr individuell und nach persönlichem Bedürfnis getimt. Schwimmen, Kajak, StandUpPaddle, hiken, chillen und vieles mehr lässt sich arrangieren.
Perfekter Ort um die Seele baumeln zu lassen.
Eco-Toiletten outdoor, Dusche wird manuell erhitzt, Zimmer tlw. ohne Strom/Licht und die nächtliche Natur könnte Dir eventuell den Schlaf rauben.... Love it or leave it.
