Papercraft is at the top of my list of hidden gems in Uganda. Everything they do protects the environment, and everything they recycle and produce (paper, glass, beads, craft soap etc.) is of superior quality. If you are an Eco-warrior then you'll be as excited as I was to visit Papercraft.

Supporting environmental awareness and the self sufficiency of a group of Ugandans from Bwebajja village.

Great place for buying original presents, made from recycled paper. Women earn an honest income, and produce sustainable products.
Also attached is a glass workshop, where old glass bottles are turned into new items like drinking glasses, vases, ornaments.
A very recommendable outing, for your family or with visitors from abroad, just outside Kampala.

Een geweldige plek om naar toe te gaan. Het is interessant om te zien hoe ze papier maken maar nog interessanter hoe ze het glaswerk maken. Ook voor kinderen een leerzaam uitje. Ze verkopen prachtig en uniek glaswerk. Het is dat mn koffers vol zitten anders had ik nog veel meer gekocht😊.
