Walgreens Pharmacy

It's annoying how I always have to wait a long time for prescriptions in both the drive thru and inside.

I arrived at the pharmacy with several minutes remaining until the posted closing time after an unexpected visit to IU Health. There was no line at the Walgreens drive through (which I was in) and one customer at the counter that I noticed was quickly helped. After being told that the prescription I was picking up would be filled and I would be helped tonight, they later told me that they were closing and couldn’t help me, so then they sent the prescription to a different location several miles away. Instead of initially letting me know that she couldn’t help me or spending a few minutes past 6pm to fill my order, they decided to change their mind and cause my family to spend an additional 3 combined hours of time for me, my wife, and our sick 6 month old baby to drive and wait for a different location to fill the simple order.
I must say I’m very disappointed. I feel that if I served a customer in such a way in the industry that I work in, I would feel that I was giving the customer an extreme disservice.
