Dinner Bell

Wonderful dining experience! We stopped in around brunch time. For anyone local to Indiana who knows of the old Golden Gables (now closed) western omelet and misses it, stop in the Dinner Bell and get you one of theirs. Just the aroma of the omelet passing by you as they place it on the table will be a flashback to the past. And I definitely recommend the pancakes, as well! Fun diner experience with the old school checkered floors and Coca-Cola memorabilia :) The staff was friendly and efficient, and food was phenomenal. Will definitely be back again!

Great family owned diner. I've never had a bad meal there. They have a daily lunch special of home cooked comfort food. I highly recommend stopping in or carrying out.

I love this place. The food is fantastic!!

We were looking for a greasy spoon diner for breakfast and came across this place. It was 6 am and it fit the bill. The coffee was AMAZING, the food fresh and made to order, the waitress/cook was awesome. Hell even the regulars stepped up and kept our coffee fresh while she cooked. It was a fantastic small town diner experience. I would most def visit again!!

Food was excellent "home cooked " style. I had a western omelet with a biscuit smothered in sausage gravy and home fries.

We came through Salem and decided to stop in for breakfast and the French toast was so delicious!! Even my picky 11 year old loved it! Inside was so cute and it had that down home feel that I love! We will definitely be back!

Very good country style cooking. Biscuit and gravy is packed full of flavor. They get my order correct everytime. Full menu all day and the only place open @ 5am.

Wow! Service and prices here were excellent, and breakfast was really good too! Making this our new "must do" place for all future Salem visits. Felt like family here. 💙

You want hole in the wall classic dinner. Go no further. This is it. Food was amazing. Love the lil sliders. Biscuits and gravy yum. Staff was awesome.

It is always like stepping back to a simpler time. You are greeted as you walk in with a friendly smile. Table talk with another table usually happens which is part of the experience of this true dinner. Always clean and well kept and the mini burgers are like no other. Check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Working and living in this town for a couple weeks. I'm working nights and finding a meal that isn't fast food us hard to do. Stopped here for lunch. Had what they call "the mess". Hash browns with bacon and sausage, cheese, topped with two eggs and covered in sausage gravy. Tasted great, and with coffee was less than 10 dollars.

Yummy yummy yummy! Friendly staff, quick service, have never waited more than 10-15 minutes for my food. The cheeseburgers are small (like white castle) but soooooo much better.

One of the best restaurants in town. Best breakfast and prices are very good. Staff is very friendly. If you haven't been, it's a must try restaurant.
