Thai Lotus Restaurant

One of my favorite restaurants. I love spicy food and I appreciate that they let you pick your level of spicy. I wish we had a restaurant like this close to home, but still worth the 30 minute drive.

Oh my gosh! The whole family loves this place. The staff is so friendly and helpful. She even knows our name. The green curry is a symphony in my mouth! We drive 25+ minutes to get to the restaurant. I recommend this little treasure.

This was the first time that I have been here. My supervisor took me here. I had drunken noodle dish with veggies a small salad and a egg roll with heat at a number 3. It was really good will definitely be going back. With my wife. Sorry forgot to get pictures of the food will get them when I go next time. I went back on 12-7-2023. I ordered Thai fried rice which came with onion soup a small salad and egg roll got number 3 on the spicy

This is the best restaurant I've been to between Salem and Scott's burg for takeout. They have a very nice dining area but I've never eaten inside. We started ordering regularly about 3-4 months ago (Reynolds) and it is top notch every time. I've eaten an hour after bringing it home and the food was still piping hot. I've tried what feels like probably half the menu at this point and you really can't make any wrong choices here. Personally I prefer the Red Curry-- but all of the curry dishes are excellent. Big fan of the Tiger Garlic dish as well. The gentleman who hands me my food is always kind and welcoming and my food is always ready by the time I walk in. Portions sizes are great.
There isn't much more to say, quite frankly they make some of the best food I've eaten in my entire life. If you're looking for something to eat in this area I don't think there's anywhere better than Thai Lotus. 10/10

We love eating here especially for lunch. They have a wonderful $7.99 deal. It comes with an entree, rice, salad, spring roll, soup and orange slice. And it is all delicious! Pictured is the Cashew Chicken and Yellow Curry. In the evenings it does get a bit pricey with everything being a la carte. I could knock a star off for that but it tastes so wonderful that I will not do that. Just be prepared. Or better yet go for lunch.

I've only been here a couple times, but I've never been disappointed! Most recently I went on a lunch date here with my Mom and I got the Spicy Basil Stir Fry with chicken and it was amazing! It wasn't "spicy" as in hot, pepper, makes-you-turn-red-and-sweat spicy, but it was flavorful spicy, which is right up my alley. The atmosphere was quiet, comfortable, and elegant and our waitress was attentive. I'm glad I was able to have some food left over to take home with me so I can enjoy the rest of it for lunch later!

Really solid replacement to Sue's. It could go up to a 5 Star, especially considering it's located in Salem. But as for now, I'll let it sit as a 4 Star.

Great home cooked food every time! Prices are very reasonable. Excellent quality of food. Love the decor also! We go here often, it's always great! Spicy basil fried rice is my favorite. Portions are huge! Always very clean.

The weekly lunch specials are v good and v affordable: $7.99 and it comes with a ton of food. We ordered the spicy basil fried rice w tofu and cashew chicken. My friend didn’t like the soup that comes with the lunch special because for him the onion taste is too powerful. I will definitely be coming back here again

I have not had good Thai food since leaving Florida 2 years ago. They did forger one of our entrees but we placed a big to go order and should have checked it before we left. The food was amazing! We live in Madison but we will be back. Pad Thai was great. Thai salad rolls were fabulous. The peanut sauce was on point. Cant wait to come back.

The best Thai food around. Friendly service, competitive prices. I recommend it to anyone. If your not in to heat in your food, order without spices.

The atmosphere, the staff, the food...all wonderful! Totally thrilled with all aspects of our visit - we WILL be back. Who knew this 5 star little gem was hidden in a side street of Salem! Totally upscale plating and taste. Gotta check this one out!

This was our first visit and definitely not our last. The Chicken Satay was amazing, the best we've ever had. The Pad Thai was very good and fresh, maybe a little sweeter than other restaurants so I recommend going a little higher on the spiciness scale. The food portions were very generous, we definitely had enough food left over for lunch the next day.

I came here to grab something for my husband to take home for him to take to work. I ordered close to 2pm and I drove here to grab the meal. When I entered into the restaurant, the atmosphere was very calm and soothing. The people who worked there were great and sweet. They had my meal ready within 10 minutes of being there and I was really impressed overall. This is my one time coming here and I will come again. My husband said the food was really good too when I gave it to him. I will say it is a bit pricey, but well worth it.

I've had Thai at award winning restaurants. This is top notch.

Soooo good! Pad Kee Mao was perfect. Service was very caring, restaurant was very nice.

Just stumbled upon this restaurant today. They were busy busy. Which to me is a good sign. Food was amazing if you are looking for pad Thai. Great prices and the 10.99 lunch special... the amount of food you get is enough to split! Plus you get soup and an spring roll with it for that price. Will definitely be back. Food was fresh made to order. You can get no heat all the way up to Thai level heat.
