Your teller named Bea is truly a light that is brightly shining LOVE onto those around her. I’m so blessed that she helped me today and shared her positive energy with me today. Meeting her was a highlight for me today.

They gave me my mail

So nice when a business shows they care about customers! I recently had a very important check that was lost. (Probably eaten by a machine.) Fortunately the issuing customer had told me if I didn't receive it by today that they would reissue the check. Someone from the Salem, IN post office actually called this morning to let me know that they still had not seen it. This allowed me to advise my customer this morning, rather than having to wait until the afternoon. I wish I had asked for their name. Thank you so so much!
On a different note...the complaints I see about long telephone hold times are probably people calling the 800 number, which goes to a call center. Any time I have called the direct number I've received excellent customer service. Also any time I've gone into the Salem location I've had a pleasant experience.

If you're having trouble with deliveries, make your packages go to the p.o. Yes it's inconvenient at times but if you want your packages on time, go inside and get them.

I have a sign on my mailbox asking that all packages be left inside my screened in porch....the new guy who delivers packages to my home just drops them on my front stairs. Thank god I have a security camera on the front of my house and can see when they get dropped off so I can stop what I’m doing and go home before they have a chance to be stolen.

No matter what day of the week you call, what time of day you call or how many times you call they will NOT answer the phone! EVER! YOU go there in person to pick up packages but the tell you they don't have any.. Even after 2: companies say the packages are there! Obviously no one there can do their job! And God help you if you need to a change of address...good luck ever getting your mail again even if you jump through hoops! They are absolutely worthless there!

It's sad for a postal service to say they can't find your address and return your package to the sender is just mind boggling, my address has been here as long as the town of salem. Shame on you!

Terrible post office. Can't deliver anything on time or they drop it off at someone elses house. Couldn't drop to zero stars or I would.

They said they delivered it on Monday but he still had it in his mail truck on Tuesday but the tracking said it was delivered Monday he had it in the wrong address box

I have been trying to call for 4 days, your delivery driver keeps doing a U Turn in my grass when I clearly have a horse shoe driveway. It's a shame postal worker used to be a socially regarded position, now your the laughing stock of the shipping world. I guess your employees will ride the train till they derail it. How do I get UPS to deliver my mail?

The postmaster is a very rude person, and really does not care if you are crying right in front of him while he yells at you for not calling (when you did but the phone number takes you to a hot line). Packages are not delivered, but are marked as delivered. According to the worker, they just do this at the end of the night so it says something for the package! If you aren’t getting packages repeatedly, you sure are not the only one!

Repeatedly not delivering our packages especially the weekend people. It will just say there was no one there To accept the package when there was someone there all day! And security cameras to prove that no attempt was made to get the packages to us. This is getting so old and frustrating because they don’t care and know that nobody else cares enough to do anything about it. I blame the delivery people and those in charge of them. This is totally unacceptable. We have to drive 25 minutes into town to get packages that the delivery pertain was too lazy to leave at it’s proper destination. They lie on the little paper they leave about why they won’t deliver. I guess our hands are tied. What can be done about these lazy incompetent govt workers??!!! we pay your salaries!

I would give them a -10 if that were an option. They lie and say try to deliver no secure place, when Im sitting at the bus stop and watch the mail person deliver mail, times are way off, thats after paying their outrageous shipping fees. They lose your pkgs Ive had several refunds from orders they have lost. Fill out a redelivery request for the next day, receive a conf # and 3 days later still no pkg. Their not answering thier phone Ive tried all 3 days now. This place is a joke. They want to blame this on Covid, 😂😂 this was happening long before Covid came along.

This place needs a housecleaning of firing most of the employees and starting over. The postmaster in this town is a laughingstock as are most of the employees. I don't know how many times in this last year that they've had problems delivering the mail to the same address I've had for seven years. This isn't that hard to put the mail in the correct box when its the same person living at the same address and has lived there since late 2012. You would think that they would hire people that could handle basic sorting and READING COMPREHENSION. Which should be part of any civil service exam anywhere that you can properly read the address on the mail. The desk clerks are actually pretty well okay as far as service goes especially Rose and Michael. The postmaster is a relatively new guy and he doesn't have a clue what he is doing just like he lied to a family member of mine regarding an issue. He needs to be fired and probably at least half of the employees as well. I also seen one of the temporary female mail carriers throw a bunch of letters into my box one day without a care and I had to hand deliver them to my next door neighbors because it was too hard for her to pay attention. That's the kind of misfits and flakes they have working there.

Edit 2019: 3 times now my mail has been delivered to the wrong address! No one ever does anything about this!

I live on a walking route. My mail NEVER gets picked up. I have to drive across town to drop off my mail at the post office. Countless times I talked to the postmaster but still no change. I just gave up. If you need mail out anything don't rely on it getting picked up at your home.
