Veteran's Trail at Lake Salinda

Beautiful scenery. Well kept and clean with exception to bird waste all over the recreational areas because people can't seem to resist feeding the ducks and geese. The trail around the lake is well kept and typically not too crowded. On nice weekends it can get a bit crowded. But if you're able to stop by on a weekday afternoon, it's the perfect place to go and have a peaceful moment all to yourself, or with whomever you want.

This is a wonderful shaded, winding, gentle ups & downs, occasional shimmering lake view trail! Looks like it was designed with mountain biking in mind, so be aware. I've was there early with pup & it was very peaceful! You have to be quiet... for the fishermen. ❤

Really nice place take hike..fun for kids

This a beautiful serene lake in Salem, IN. It used to be a pumping station years ago. It is a very pleasant place to picnic or bring kids to fish or walk the nature road all the way around. It has shelter houses.

Great hike!! We will be back. 75% of Trail was easy to follow. As we got to the other side of the lake the trail had no markers. I used my Trail app to follow the trail if you don't have this app. You need to get it. I highly recommend this trail.

Great trail, very well upkept with decent views of lake salinda. Would definitely recommend walking this, it's a nice beginner trail, not very steep and can be done comfortably at any pace you choose. Also nice picnic areas along the way back the trail with great views! There's also a small cemetery up the hill on the back side you can see with some historical value to the Washington county and Salem Indiana area.

I've been on the trail and it was a nice walk. It's peaceful at Lake Salinda. I like to walk there or just take my furbaby Stormy and we go hang out at one of the shelter houses and chill watching the geese.

Beautiful lake and the birds are so friendly they come up and eat out of ur hands. And let you pet them. Overall a great family place to take ur kids to fish or kayak..

I absolutely loved it! I had so much fun! I'd definitely recommend! It's a great place for dogs too!

Love this place. I take my brother here frequently to walk the trail, feed ducks, just set and relax. Have picnics. It's a beautiful place to spend a day. Peaceful

Good trail to walk and get some exercise, some pretty nice views of the lake. Really sad they have not fixed the bridge over the creek and there is starting to be some trash along the trail I try to pick up as much as I can when I go through

Easy trails and so pretty. The trail is kept up very nicely. I would recommend it!

Great place to go walk fish cookout and just spend time together. It definitely has somerhing for all ages wheather you just wanna sit back and feed the ducks or jump in and swim.. Itf fun no matter what u do!

It's nice to finally have a place to go hiking that is close to town. I enjoyed it very much and plan to go again soon!

Easy access to the lake. Caught a 14" large mouth bass on a yellow chartreuse fishing lure with one cast.

We've went there a lot over the. Years but really impressed with all the new bridges,iron man challenge and extras they have added there
