Williams Dam Public Fishing Area

Great Indiana Department of Natural Resources managed on the East Fork White River. Great river fishing in scenic Lawrence County in SW Indiana.

Beautiful place to take pictures hike walk fish a nice place to get out and enjoy nature

Had quite a bit of fun fishing with the kids off the "catwalk" right near the dam. Got hung up a few times However the river was up quite a bit so we feel that had a lot to do with the water being up so high other than that it was great. Also does have restroom facilities. Not as pet friendly unless you're away from the dam area. Other than that it's a great place to walk them around.

Neat place to go with plenty of opportunity to catch something, on the catwalk you can see carp going over the edge at times. Plenty of parking. Very neat little spot.

Nice dam place to poop. Even the Porta johns were kinda clean. Didn't have time to catch any catfish.

This was a very neat place to visit.

I remember coming here since I was a teenager. Meet a wonderful man up there named Floyd "Junior" Hale he went by Junior. We hit it off as we fished he taught my family and I the ropes about fishing up there also met his friends. Mike Bowden was a friend of Junior's also taught us how to catch certain fish like flat head catfish. Junior has past away for awhile now and you do not see the people like you use to. You can catch many different fish up there. Anything from Strippers, Bass, Bluegill, Crappie, Flad heads, channel cats, Spoonbill catfish, Buffalo, Carp, Perch, Gars ect. You never know what you are going to catch when you drop your like down.

Had a great day enjoying the fine weather and this awesome sight so close to home if you have never been go its well worth the drive

Wonderful place for fishing,quiet time,family time. Much history. Be respectful of the area and take out your trash.

Fishing in Williams Dam so good and fun.

Remember this place as a kid took my girlfriend to see it today and I was very sad to see all the trash all over the banks of the river and dam so I would encourage you to clean up after your self and make the place great for the next generation

Loved the roar of the water going over the dam. Great view. It was a good destination for a motorcycle ride.

It's a great place to gather with friends and family or even go alone to get in touch with nature go fishing take a bike ride take a walk. Great locals in my neighborhood
