Vincennes Pub 'N' Grub

This was our first time, and it will not be our last !! When we got there, the restaurant was packed, so that's a good sign. Hostess said it would be five minutes wait, so we waited. In no time our table was ready, the waitress took our orders, and no time our food came !! Our waitress Becky was informative, and so nice and fun to interact with. Our food was plentiful and very good !! Will definitely be back !!!

Absolutely love it here! Delicious! Excellent quality and quantity of food! Mozzarella sticks are a must! Brisket, wings, ribs, pulled pork cheeseburgers, fries! Everything good quality. The place is clean. Friendly environment.

Best brisket I think I’ve EVER had! I’m visiting from Florida for work. I will say the cucumber pasta salad was a no for me……pasta with no cucumbers or vegetables of any kind in it and the dressing on it tasted like sugared cucumbers BUT they were friendly and had sweet tea!!!

We had a very nice ride today. Tony , Tod and I left Clinton County around 9:00 this morning. We set out and worked our way southwest to the historic city of Vincennes Indiana.

Vincennes is a city in and the county seat of Knox County, Indiana. It is located on the lower Wabash River in the southwestern part of the state, nearly halfway between Evansville and Terre Haute. Founded in 1732 by French fur traders, notably François-Marie Bissot, Sieur de Vincennes, for whom the Fort was named, Vincennes is the oldest continually inhabited European settlement in Indiana and one of the oldest settlements west of the Appalachians.

Our lunch destination was Pub N Grub located on 4th street in the old downtown of Vincennes.

The Pub resides in a very old building! Guessing this building is well over 100 years old. The Pub started out as a food truck business but now has dine in restaurants in Jasper and Vincennes. They specialize in smoked barbecue meats.

Upon entering a friendly hostess seated our party. Our waitress was there immediately to take our drink order.
The staff was friendly and attentive to the customers needs.

After looking over the menu I ordered the brisket sandwich. I had them put white American cheese, onion and creamy horseradish on it. It came with two sides , I picked french fries and mac and cheese. The sandwich had a very generous amount of brisket. I'm guessing close to 3/4 of a pound. The beef was tender and juicy and had a wonderful smokey taste. The cheese, onion and horseradish sauce were the perfect toppings to take this sandwich to a stratospheric level of deliciousness! The mac and cheese were perfect and the fries were hot, crisp and as good as french fries can get. Ice cold Mich Ultra draft and a big glass of water to drink , great beverages for a thirsty and hungry rider.

Tony went with the smoked wings and said they were very good. Tod picked the jalapeño burger with mac and cheese, and onion rings as his sides. He said his meal was also very good.

I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and the service was exceptional! If you are ever in Vincennes you should visit the Pub N Grub.

1st off it took us at least 15 minutes before we received any service (after we stopped the waitress and asked for someone to wait on us). Mind you this was on a Wednesday (not busy at all), they didn't have any brisket so the only BBQ they had was pulled pork and it tasted like it was 3 days old, the mac and cheese was very watery. We got the same meal that we get from the Jasper restaurant and only received half the amount of food. I suggest you go to the Jasper store for better food and service. And for the host you need to step up your game (take out your ear buds and pay attention to the customers).

Great staff, food was nicely cooked tested great. Be aware portions are huge, which was not a problem for me. Place looks clean and well maintained

This is definitely worth a visit! We had a large group and got seated on second floor all together. Our waitress, Lynn, was on top of it as she split the check four ways accurately and quickly. The food is really good. Many people ordered the BBQ nachos and they were awesome. The brisket sandwich was another solid choice, juicy and very tasty. Another one of our party had the dry rub wings...he gave it a thumbs up. The sides they served complimented the main dishes well. ..from macaroni and cheese, to a sweet tasting pasta salad, and well done onion rings. Go!

First time visit, stopped in with wife and friend. Seated quickly. Waited on quickly. Cold beer. Appetizers came quick. ( Pretzel bites and mushrooms ) Food came quick. ( Large fish sandwich, and four different flavors of smoked wings) Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back. Waitress ( Betty ) was wonderful and patient. Great experience.

Nice small BBQ place. I'm in love with their wings! Try the Bones spicy sauce or the dry rub!!😋🤪 My wife had the BBQ fries which were also fantastic!

I have been here three times and have never once been disappointed with my food. It's always been delicious. The staff is pleasant, but the only problem I have is I rarely get refills. Overall it's a great place to go and the food is beyond delicious.

Literally the best food in Vincennes area. Wings are amazing!!! Anything I get here is just delicious

All I can say is "Wow"! The smoked wings are absolutely brilliant with a distinct and very tasty flavour experience! I also enjoyed the atmosphere! I had the sampler which included wings and beef brisket, as two sides (I had onion rings and bacon cheesy potatoes, which were both excellent). Very tasty all round! I will be back again when I next visit Vincennes.

One of these cooks makes the best burger I have ever had. A perfectly cooked patty -- perfectly seared and caramelized on the outside, but with the tiniest bit of pink on the inside giving it incredible flavor and texture -- topped with perfectly textured grilled veggies and cheese... Easily the best burger I have had in the last decade, and when I went back the next day the chicken sandwich was incredible as well. As someone just passing through, I was blown away by the quality.

Got there, and there was no more pulled pork, and the hamburger was frozen...thanks goodness because, otherwise, I would not have ordered this bad boy! Diamond in the rough.

Excellent food and service. Had a medium sized group with kids and everyone had a good time and great food.

Fantastic BBQ at decent prices. The pretzel bites are amazing and the onion rings are PERFECT. Hot, crispy, but don't pull apart. The brisket was amazingly tender and their sweet sauce is incredible.
