Ivy Tech Community College

My most memorable experiences were the moments that Ivy Tech took the initiative to help me, and not just on a basic level either. When I first came into Ivy Tech, I was greeted by warm smiles, professional handshakes, and given the direction that I truly needed to truly feel ready to start my journey.

Whether it was the help of my Academic Advisor, Jenny Merkt before and after the enrollment of my classes, or the extra hours of countless tutoring I was willingly given by Ryan Russell, Becky Pohle, Bruck Mulat, Susan Bowling, Eric Blomer, and so many others. The staff of Ivy Tech Community College showed me that I was truly capable of being more than just successful, but proud of my accomplishments along the way.

As I worked full-time and attended school part-time, I took much longer than the average student, allowing me to fully grasp the knowledge required not only as a college student, but a professional of the workforce. By the time I finished my degree, my knowledge was so sharp that I earned the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification, a master's degree level certification that is internationally recognized as, "The Gold Standard" of Information Security and one of the hardest certifications to obtain in Information Technology!

Thanks to the education Ivy Tech gave me, I have obtained the career I always wanted, graduated as a successful honors student, and will be starting at Purdue Global nearly 75% of the way done with my bachelor's degree! What makes this experience the most rewarding is thanks to the help of Ivy Tech in my professional education, my family will also be closing on our very first home, all before the date of graduation on 05/10/2024!

Ivy Tech Community College, your team of dedicated professionals changed the lives of my family, and I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for us! To anyone who wants a successful career, a positive educational experience, and a promising future, Ivy Tech is the perfect college for you!

I dont understand why they hold your financial aid for so long after classes start when that money is to be used for tuition, books and supplies. I should be able to get what I need at the beginning of the semester without having to shop at the overpriced bookstore. I could understand if it was just a few days to make sure you don't drop classes but they said it could be a month before the money is dispersed. 😞😞😞

I transferred schools, and Ivy Tech fraudulently reported that I was still attending so I didn't get my Pell Grant. I contacted them and they refused to log into the federal aid website and make the change. So now I'm stuck not attending school until the school year resets.
