Copperhead Creek Gem Mine

We visited on Sunday morning before the 4/8 solar eclipse. The folks in the shop are so friendly and helpful. My kiddos love collecting rocks and quickly found items they wanted. The prices were great, too! My oldest picked a solar eclipse mystery box, which was super fun. I won't spoil what was in the box but it was well worth the price! He was delighted. My youngest picked a nice stone for his collection as well.

I had a good time doing this. It was a fun experience. Plenty of social spacing. There's sitting available. I would recommend it with friends or even a date.

Staffwoman was the absolute best! Very helpful and knowledgeable! She even helped me pick out some of my stones purchased from Temu that were real/fake. Overall great experience! Purchased several individual stones and a motherload mining bag, totally worth it! (Photos are of my mining bag haul) 20/10 absolutely recommend this place! Happy hunting!

We've been there twice this summer. Fun activity for all ages. We had ages 3-65 and everyone thought it was pretty cool. Both times we did the motherload and the emerald bag.

Our whole family had such a fun experience here, and the prices for mining were impressive…you definitely get your money’s worth!

Great price on bags of dirt to gem mine. We always buy several motherload bags while there and bring back small bags to family as souvenirs. We visit this shop everytime and always walk away with so many large specimen gems. My daughter could sit for hours and mine. I also have several pieces of their jewelry that I absolutely adore.

The kids had a wonderful time. You buy bags of sand, there are different sizes/contents, and the sift them in a trough with running water. Then, bag up your treasures. You get an info card with pictures to help identify what you've found. Some of the specimens were small and not much of high quality but fun.

We bought our kids the small gem mining bags and they had a ball sleuthing. They each found lots of different types of gems & stones. The staff person, Amy, was very kind and helpful. We will definitely go back the next time we're in Nashville!

My 9 year old son loves finding treasures in the motherload bag. Lots of fun doing this, and got fossils, gemstones, lots of nice items that he's really excited about. Great customer service and friendly staff.

Went yesterday. The lady working the counter was extremely nice and wonderful! Shop is a bit tiny but full of gems and minerals and fossils! Me and my 2 yr old had a blast mining for the gems at mining area... so much so that I kept going back for more bags. The last time I went in for more bags I promised the lady that I wasn't coming back in, 🤣 (I lied, I went back in to buy a gem and gold flakes, haha). I loved it and it was worth the 300 mile round trip!

This was such a fun shop. We had our ten year old son with us and started our day in Brown County here because he loves rocks, fossils, and gemstones. The shop owner was super nice and was great in engaging our son. He got a bag of rocks and gems and was able to use the water sluice outside to "mine" for gems and minerals. The owner helped him sort his newfound bounty and identify the different rocks. The shop is also nicely appointed. So many of the shops there are crammed so tightly that you are afraid to walk around, but there was actually room to maneuver. There was a great selection of items ranging in prices from a few dollars to thousand+. We will definitely visit again the next time we are in that area.

Great shop with a big collection of gemstones and geodes. I recommend checking this shop out while you are walking around town.

We love this place! It's becoming a family tradition now every summer. I went last summer and found lots of pretty gems and rocks and today we got lucky and had some big chunks of Amethyst! The shop is so neat. Lots of different stones, jewelry, and even descriptions about each stone and what meanings they are said to have! Highly recommend. Kid-friendly!

My absolute favorite place to visit. I go every year for my birthday. This family is so amazing & friendly. Love staying in the cabins as well.

My son and I had such a blast mining for gems! The owners were so knowledgeable about all the gems and super friendly. The store was awesome and had every stone imaginable, also beautiful jewelry. Awesome customer service and will definitely make it a new tradition to come back every year!

We bought a mother load bag and split it for our three kids. They each bagged at least 70 items (this counts the little teeth and small items). They brought them home and cleaned , sorted, and identified them with their grandma. They loved it.

Amazing, Iris was so informative of the gems, and fossils. Our granddaughter loved sifting the sand looking for the prize. We all got necklaces and stones from their gift shop. And extra bags of gems to bring home for our Grandson to find his prize. He had a blast!
