The Happy Hive's Buzzin' Suds & Bad Axes

Axe throwing facilities 5 star, food 3-4. The axe throwing was super fun with lots of different images being projected which kept the games fun and interactive. The coach was fun and showed us how to properly throw the axes. It’s $20 per person for one hour and $35 for two hours. Once you go once they give you a coupon card for $5 off. It was fun enough that one hour flew by. It was just the two of us so we got lots of throwing but I imagine if you are there with a large group you may spend part of your hour waiting. Something to consider when you decide when to go. As far as the restaurant goes, the food is good quality, hot, and the service is friendly. It was weird how little fries were served with the meal and the “roll” that was listed on the menus in the chicken tender meal was a half a slice of toast. It was $7.50 for a two piece and a little more for a 3 piece. There were literally only 5-6 small to medium size waffle fries though (see picture) which is not what I expected. I’d try it again though, maybe they just got it wrong this one time?.. Either way we will certainly be back for axe throwing and bring friends with us next time.

Found this place while passing through the area. The veggie pizza and fried mushrooms I had was so delicious! I would recommend their bottled sodas, Dad’s cream soda was good and the black cherry soda was very good. They had small table games and offer axe throwing (need reservation). I would visit again if I’m in the area, I’d love to try the axe throwing!

Can’t say enough good things about the venue, the people, the service. We had over 30 people for my husband’s 50th birthday party, even asked for a special pizza (on the pizza buffet package that includes wings, salad, mozz sticks, fried cauliflower, sodas, & bottled water for ONLY $10 each!! ) due to a guest’s dietary restrictions. I was a little worried when we first got there because I was told they were short staffed but everything was absolutely perfect. The food wasn’t even put out late, special order pizza & all. I’m never good at any games but I even got an ax to stick 😆. We were able to hook up to their Bluetooth speakers and play our own music. The coach was fun and engaging. Everyone had a wonderful time. Highly recommend.

The happy hive is the closest business to where we live. Not only is it convenient, but delicious as well! Each and every person who helps run the store is so very welcoming! We are very grateful to have a place we can run to on nights when we don't feel like cooking and can get a takeout order without having to spend over an hour driving.

Came into town from florida to do some early work for hunting season and im so glad we came across this place. Thefood was great and we decided to try axe throwing, they took time to teach us how to do it and it was easier then I thought. Stop and check it out, Fried Mushrooms

The food was great and they have plenty of games and things to do and look at while you are waiting on food or even after. Knick knacks to buy and souvenir to purchase. They have axe throwing and splatter painting. Very fun. Got it kill zombies throwing axes as well. Our coach for axes was very informative and she was also the owner. It was my wife's birthday and we had a blast and they were very accommodating even tho they were understaffed they tender to our every need.

I came in to just eat some food but I ended up having a lot more fun the food at this place is phenomenal and write behind it is the coolest axe throwing bar where you can come and throw axes and I thought I would be bad at it but my instructor helped me, definitely my new favorite restaurant I wish I could give it 6 stars

It was a wonderful experience! Cheri and all of the staff have done absolutely wonderful with the place. The axe throwing was a lot of fun and everything there is budget friendly.

This is such an amazing locally owned place! The staff were so friendly and even invited my daughter to sing karaoke! The burgers were delicious and I highly recommend the friend banana peppers. Overall definitely worth the drive from many of the small towns nearby! Can't wait to visit again!

Great service and so friendly! I recommend the Oreo hurricane ice cream. This place is great for a quick bite to eat or a small date night! They have live bees here on exhibit, which is so cool is you have kids and want a funny educational pit stop! They also support great local businesses and causes. So heart-warming!

Great independent restaurant. The pizza salad isn't on the menu but it is awesome. Get it warm. Think pizza toppings on salad greens. Yum!
Ham n cheese was yummy. Mac n cheese was creamy. Pulled pork was satisfying.
Fun items in the gift shop too.
The ice cream is fun. We all tried different flavors and they were yummy. Soft serve with natural flavor syrups (according to the owners) that permits the large variety of flavors. Yummy. The apple pie with caramel flavors in shake form was lovely. The ice cream cones too were a nice ending to delicious meal

I took my 13 yr old on a Fri night to be taught to throw an axe! We had a blast. Amazing instructor, we were taught to throw and played point games against one another. Super safe, super fun, I have nothing but good things to say!! Would recommend!

The food and service was over the top. Then we went in the back to throw axes. Instructions were very helpful, the the fun began…laughter, games, competition. All in all a great experience. Highly recommended!

Just stopped for a beer. The poeple were very nice. The menu looks very good. I will return for a burger and milk shake soon. Very nice place.

Update May 11. Made it back for the burger and milk shake. Best burger and shake. Very friendly and pleasant place. I will visit again soon.

Great place, super friendly and helpful staff, awesome experience and great food. We ordered food prior to our axe throwing experience. Everything was ready for us when we arrived.

Friendly people, good food. I care nothing about the Beer or Wine or the Ax throwing personally for me is a downgrade for the place in general however one must these days must make money to stay afloat, scarey side a drunk person and ax throwing sounds like a accident is likely forth coming.

Awesome selection of uncommon but delicious soda

The food is great! I’ve had a number of meals including the pork tenderloin sandwich, cheeseburgers and potato slices, chicken wings, salads, and fried mushrooms. It’s quality food, and the staff are very welcoming. I always stop in at The Happy Hive for a bite when I’m in town 👍🏻
