Smaller than I was hoping but a great store non the less. It has a friendly and inviting atmosphere and what looks like a great space to play a game or a round of MTG.

I always enjoy coming to the local game shop, it's fun to browse the store and see all the new games, cards, minis, and sets that come out recently. Today was no exception. I arrived shortly before close, but Michael and Randy were able to quickly point me to the books I wanted to buy and were knowledgeable about the current 5E books. It's nice to have lads that are as handsome and knowledgeable as Michael and Randy working at the local game shop.

Luckily for ttrpg and tcg gamers and comic bookers, Empire is an absolutely stellar place to buy games, accessories, and comics despite being one of the only shops of it's kind in the area. After moving nearby, I was bummed to see it was the only shop within a pretty considerable distance, but one visit immediately changed my mind. They have everything you need and can even order stuff they don't have in house. Seriously one of the best shops I've been to. Staff were very friendly, nerdy, and knowledgeable. The selection on everything was surprisingly robust as well. Easy 5 stars.

Special orders? No problem! Unique hard to find products? These folks find them. Great staff with exceptional customer service. I highly recommend these folks!

This place is great. Large variety of games and very good prices. Of it isn't in the store, they can get it extremely fast from their warehouse. Plus you are supporting a small local owned business.

The store is clean and we'll organized. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They play all the game they sell so that they can give you real personal experiences and reviews.

They have family friends games as well as competitive games and coop games for all ages.

There is always people playing some type of game here. They always welcome everyone to join in the fun.

Highly recommend coming here for all of your gaming needs.

Stopped by recently to get one of many orders I've placed at Empire for tabletop gaming books at their amazing 20% off rate. Great store with friendly, knowledge employees that will help you find what you need, be it gaming or comics related. Can't recommend enough.

Polite employees, lots of board games and comics to choose from. MTG selection is good, and organization has improved over the past 3-4 years. This place is easily the best card shop in S. IN.

My son works there and loves it. he feels like he is working with family. And the owner is very good to him and the rest of his associates. It says something about an employer when and associate want to go to work.

Perfect comic book store. The had exactly what my 8 year old daughter was looking for, and the employees were awesome, especially the woman that helped her pick out her brand new glow in the dark pink dice!

Great place to find comics. I brought my 13 and 7 yr old into the store to find them some new reading material. Nathan was behind the counter and was so great in helping my 7 yr old pick out something. I would highly recommend Empire comics and games from the casual reader to those who have read comics before.

Was the first comic book store I ever went to. Every time I come here (primarily for mtg) I leave happily with the experience I had. The staff and the owner George are fantastic people and very helpful and friendly. Overall I can't speak highly enough about Empire Comics! They also carry board games if interested!

Empire is everything you want your local comics and game store to be. Their staff is friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. They have a fantastic selection of TTRPG's and their associated products, comics, Magic cards, and their board game offerings are second to none. Most importantly, they foster a sense of community. Shop their a few times and they recognize your face, remember what you're usually looking for, and even help make recommendations regarding new products that have come in. New to gaming? They're there to welcome you like you've always been a gamer and offer you direction sans judgment or agenda. No matter what side of the river you live on, Empire is a place you need to have on your list if you're into gaming or comics.

Awesome service, knowledgeable people, and lots of cool stuff - what a comic book store should be. Also willing to order what you need, and even set up a subscription service for your favorites! Lots of Magic singles too.

I have been going to Empire Comics for years. The owner and his wife are a couple of awesome people who have always treated me very well. I appreciate them and the staff. If you're looking for a local place for items they offer, you can't go wrong. Try them and see.

Without a doubt my favourite nerd shops of all time. The owner, George, is one of the nicest and most down to earth people you could ask for. Kat and the other employees are insanely nice and helpful. And for what it's worth, most of the employees have been there for what feels like forever. Imagine how great of a boss someone has to be to keep employees in a comic shop for years on end. Not only that, George goes out of his way to recognize the efforts all his employees give.

That's just the atmosphere. Product wise, they have a massive warehouse in another location that feeds the online half of the store, so they may not always have what you're looking for in the store front, but if you give them a day or two, they will absolutely pull anything and everything you could want from the warehouse and have it in the store for you. Price is fairly cheap more often than not. And if it's not on the cheap side, it's going to be average cost at most.

There's always some sort of small crowd playing something, even George will jump in and play some games from time to time.

These guys are great we just started getting Into magic and they help us with all our questions and even let us play there so they could help when we got stuck. The staff is super friendly and it is a welcoming environment. Will definitely be making all my future mtg purchases from them.

Despite the small size of the space, there's an amazing amount of space. I'm not a big comics guy, but they have a nice selection there. What was really impressive is the games selection and the discount on a lot of their stuff. They have a lot of demos available so you can try before you buy. The best part is the friendly staff. Everyone I talked to either knew what they were talking about or who to yell for if they didn't. They made everyone walking in through the door feel welcomed and didn't look down on them for what they were after.

A great place to shop for comics, games, cards...almost anything nerdy. Prices are great, but it is the family atmosphere that brings me back again and again. This shop really is the Cheers of New Albany.

It is not a great place to find douches, though if you asked their friendly, knowledgeable staff where is the best place to find them they would have lots of suggestions to offer. They are helpful like that.

Always great staff, me and my friends shop here whenever we have some tabletop need. We've been coming here since high school and now that I've got a job in IT I plan on spending a lot more time and money here. Just recently went in and bought like 4 books for D&D 5e and the pricing was great, basically got one for free! Also bought my cousin a really great magic deck after getting some suggestions (he finally beat his brother). Just a generally great place to hang around at with great staff and fun games on display.
