My mother arrived at Mount Sinai Morningside on 3/7/24 into the ICU unit, 6 East and then was transferred onto 4 West on the night of 3/12/24.

I have to commend every single nurse and doctor at this hospital. I'll admit I was very against her coming here because she was first at Mount Sinai West which she has not had good experiences in. Except for one where they did save her life after she got covid for the second time. Other than that though my mother and I refer to Mount Sinai West as the Hell Hole.

When they told me that she had to be transferred to their sister hospital I was VERY upset because I was expecting the same care she was receiving which was dismal and no one knowing what the hell was wrong with her. But to my astonishment the care she received while in the ICU was stellar.

The first thing I noticed was even though she was VERY sick and weak she had her mind back. Apparently after she had her heart attack on December 17th 2023 they put her on a regiment of medications at New York Presbyterian one of which made her completely lose her mind. It was so severe that I thought she was in the mid stages of Alzheimer's.

When I visited her the first day she was at Morningside I was ecstatic that she had her mind back. She thought I was insane cause she felt like death. But the fact she has her mind back, I knew you guys were doing something right.

The care she received while in the ICU, 6 East was phenomenal. All of her nurses were very attentive to her needs. There was a point where she needed to be cleaned several times an hour and they did so.

When she was finally stable enough to be moved to another floor she was moved to 4 West. My mind was absolutely blown when I went into her room. Maybe I should briefly tell you my story.

I was born with hemangioma and lymphangioma of the face and neck. I'll be forty four years old this June and I've stopped counting how many operations I've had after thirty. This was when I was fifteen years old. So I've been in quite a few hospital rooms in my day but I've NEVER seen one like the ones you have on 4 West.

Her nurses on this floor are also very attentive to her needs. The physical therapist have also been wonderful.

I'm definitely not one to be easily impressed by hospitals, however Mount Sinai Morningside is by far one of the best hospitals I've been in.

This is one amazing facility within the Mount Sinai UWS facility / Taylor Stein was incredible at explaining the procedures they offer / the BOD-POD machine can in just a few minutes tell you all about the composition of your body % of muscles and % of fat / knowing this one can work on improving these statistics and improve on ones body composition and general health / go find out what your statistics are and begin improving your physical health ✅

Cardiology hospitals play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of patients with heart-related conditions. The quality of care provided by these hospitals can make a significant difference The cardiology hospital and its staff were exceptional in every way. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and kindness. The doctors were knowledgeable, caring, and took the time to explain everything in detail. The nurses were attentive, supportive, and always available to answer my questions. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone seeking heart care.

I was here for surgery in January after the nurses strike. The staff was pleasant, and my surgerical team was great. I felt like I was in great hands before my procedure. It put me at ease. My nurse Paz was excellent.

The staff at St. Luke hospital was outstanding the 5 days my mother was there. From the emergency room staff to 10 East staff. They treated my mother like she was there mother. I am truly appreciated and grateful for all they did.

My first impression of what seems is a very well run hospital and health care system. It has a lot of moving parts. They are still able to create an atmosphere of caring.

Wonderful Hospital, Awesome staff...My sister was taken here for a stroke and the treatment, care, attention, positive attitude, knowledge, process was fantastic throughout every department, from ER to Cardiac to telemetry floor. Nothing like the other facilities/hospitals she was taken to..My sister made great progress in a short period of time and at times had one on one care.

First experience in the ER for fainting, everyone was kind and comforting. I can tell the whole staff has been through so much these past 2 years , yet they still treated me well. Made the experience ok , as I was scared to be there by myself.

I had my baby here 8/23/15. I went on several hospital tours before deciding on St Lukes Roosevelt. They were by far the cleanest, nicest and most open minded of all hospitals I visited. They have a low rate of c-sections, which I was also happy about. I had a wonderful experience here- even though I didnt get to give birth at the birthing center like I wanted (due to complications I had to go to Labor & Delivery). The labor and delivery team worked round the clock to make sure all was well with me and my baby. The nurses were amazing and exremely attentive. I had problems with breastfeeding, which I briefly mentioned to one of the nurses - they sent me a lactation consultant each day that I was there to help me. If it werent for them I probably would have given up by now and not continued breast feeding. I plan on coming back here for baby #2.

The doctors and surgeons at Mount Sinai Morningside saved my life after a serious stage 4 liver laceration where I could easily have bled out. It took 3 operations and 13 units of blood too keep me alive and I thank them. Notably, Dr Talbert, Dr. Parks and Dr Weatherburn. That said, every staff member and nurse were friendly and always showed optimism, were upbeat, and even brought and excepted my humor. I felt nothing but professionalism, compassion and respect from everyone including kitchen staff along with those who kept my room clean. I actually had 2 stays with them. The first ten ten days were attached to my liver injury with 5 days in the ICU and 5 days in surgical recovery. Afterwards I had 20 days in a rehab where the early stages of a Pleural Effusion were found but the completely blown out stage was missed (btw ~ you might want to think twice about the rehab in the vicinity of West 87th & Riverside). I was examined at a follow up appointment with Dr. Talbert. She immediately placed me back into Mount Sinai Morningside. During that 17 day stay 6 liters of fluid were removed from my right lung. I'm home now and on my way to recovery and vibrant health. I do have a ways to go but I feel confident that I'll see my health at 100% in the not too distant future. If you're unlucky enough too require a trauma center, be lucky enough to go to Mount Sinai Morningside. You will be happy that you choose well.

So far the experience at the hospital has been great. My dad came in for cardiac catheterization and ended up having heart bypass. The surgeon Dr Balaram was great and the staff in the ICU as well as the staff on the cardiovascular floor (10th) have been great to my dad and to us. I can't express how grateful i am with their services. Thank you!

I was dizzy and misplaced my wallet. I had already been discharged but sat in the waiting room and fell asleep. I woke up and started preparing to leave and realized I didnt have my wallet which had my money, my cards, and my ID. I rushed back into the emergency room. The dr's acted annoyed and the charge nurse was very rude. He told me to go to the gentleman at the emergency room entrance. He asked me to give him my information and said he would fill out a report. I was frantic and near tears. He got up and walked me around to a patient I thought might have seen my wallet in the bathroom. He spoke to them but they didnt see it. We went back to the room I was in. He got on the floor to see if my wallet was under the bed, but it wasn't. As we turned to leave I asked him to please look in the two hampers for dirty linen outside the room Id been in. He put on gloves and emptied the first one which was packed. There was nothing. Then he checked the second bin. As he took out the linen my red purse tumbled to the floor! I screamed and started clapping. He was WONDERFUL!!!! Everyone else, the doctors and especially that nasty male charge nurse, who also talking to another employee in a very unprofessional manner, had made me feel as if I was bothering them. Thank you to this security officer who took the time out to help me! Everyone else in that emergency room needs Customer Care TRAINING!

First rate hospital, superior patient care. Excellent doctors and nurses and support staff. They do their job and they do it right. (Google applies the words "Loved It" to the five star rating. I can't say I LOVED being in the hospital. But if you're ill, this is where you want to go.)
