We had an amazing experience this week; 98% fabulous.

Starting with the 2% non-fabulous: the emergency room is a total zoo. We went there Monday morning, and spent the night there and most of the next day, before my husband was admitted. You could write a novel about the place. We spent the night under bright lights with endless alarms and quite an interesting crowd of people (a lot of street homeless).

One other non-fabulous: the first night my husband was in the hospital, he was doing a prep for a colonoscopy in his room and the toilet broke, it started leaking. A truly awful housekeeping staff member made a huge racket about cleaning it up and I ( a patient's family member) ended up cleaning it myself just to get the awful housekeeping lady out of my sick husband's room.

Now to the fabulous: My husband showed up there very sick (ended up diagnosed with cancer) but he had an amazing care team. The medicine team, GI team; I can't praise them enough. They took such good care of him, along with the nursing and all of the support staff. We felt so looked after and so informed and connected; Dr. Allen and Paige coordinated our care; Dr Bowman and Dr. Anklesaria of the GI staff were lovely and gave us all the info we needed after finding out my husband had colon cancer. The providers connected us with aftercare with a top notch team for my husband's treatments.

I would totally go to this hospital again.

I spent the day in the ER at NY-P Allen Pavillion and I cannot say enough good things about the care I received and the staff. Both what I observed around me and experienced myself. Everyone was happy and truly cared about every patient. And if you're willing, they're willing to Crack a joke with you. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me. I was in bed 10, on Oct 30, from 12pm to 7pm..

We had our baby girl at this hospital. What became clear to me by the end of our journey at this hospital, was the consistency of care and the harmony of caregivers. Patience, kindness, teamwork, dedication, and professionalism were the traits I found in common in different units of the hospital. I hope NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital
will become a role model for other hospitals in the New York state and beyond so that expected parents like us would have a more enjoyable, assuring journey.

I visited this hospital for the first time for a blood test. I am not a patient but I did notice that the hospital is more advance in technology than other hospitals I currently visit. I was surprise they had metal detectors at the entrance and security wil take your picture I was a litle uncomfortable wondering about my privacy but then I realize that my chart profile picture was updated they also gave me a visitor pass wih my photo. The security guards are very nice and helpful and the staff was very welcoming. I had to wait for my test since they computer went down but the wait was not long. They called patients right away. After I was done I decided to visit the caffeteria at the hospital they had a nice healthy selection of food. They even had chicken lasagna, clam chowder soup, mashed potatoes and bbq chichen not spicy. Very tasty. The following day I got my test results right away. I was very happy since I was worry about the results. I will definetly visit this hospital again.

I had my same day surgery done at this hospital yesterday.
I wanted to say how friendly everyone was.
The most attentive Nurses, extremely experienced Anesthesiology team, and my amazing Doctor and his team.
Thank you!!! It was absolutely worth it to come from out of state to receive the treatment and care that I needed.

The hospital has a beautiful staff composed of top Doctors and Nurses and technicians who are very charismatic and attentive to your every need. The cafeteria is great and homey

I love this hospital they try they best to get you out fast. They are patient and very kind. They make you feel welcome and safe. They make you feel comfortable. I love this hospital because my son was born in this hostipal but in the other side. Not this same day. Everytime im very sick or need emergency help i always come to this hostipal. Im hoping to have my next kid in this hostipal too. They very clean. The bathroom was very clean and they have the table to change your kids diaper. They make sure you good to go home. They are very good in this hostipal. Theres hardly anything to eat nearby. No stores around here.

I recently gave birth and I can say I had a very good service. The nurses are all very friendly and took good care of my baby and me.They were very attentive. When you needed supplies you didnt had to wait long they brought it right away. I will truly recommend it. Nurse carmen and melanie were very great. Keep up the good work. The food was pretty decent you are able to choose from my chart the choices they had and that is great.

My mom was transferred to Allen from her nursing home for internal bleeding due to a stomach issues. The staff including Drs, Nurses, Nursing Assistance and Social Workers were ALL phenomenal. They are professional, respectful and so considerate of what the patient and the family members are experiencing. They were super communicative and very patient with my many questions. Special acknowledgment to Dr Shah for his constant updates, commitment and dedication to his patients.

I recently gave birth in this hospital and I have to say that as a new mom admitted to deliver my baby i was not sure what to expect. All the nurses and doctors that took care of me were so welcoming, compasionate, patient and were always willing to answer the million questions I had. All the nurses were fantastic but I want to specially thank nurses: Nikki, Annie, Shibi, Betsy, Melanie,Caitlin and all the other nueses that made our stay one of the best memories in my life. Thank you , thank and thank you for being there for my unborn baby and myself when we needed it the most!

Last week on Friday, November 18th, my wife went into labor and we delivered our beautiful baby Zoey at the Allen Hospital. Immediately my wife was received by Stacey at the front desk, who signed her in to be seen by the triage staff to make sure she was in labor. She was very warm and friendly and made my wife, who was already nervous, feel calm and reassured. Everyone there was absolutely amazing! Once she was admitted, Doctor Doe and the nursing staff took excellent care of my wife and baby. They were constantly monitoring her and the baby and would update us consistently. After her cesarean, we spent the next few days in the hospital. The maternity staff who attended to my wife and baby were equally amazing! Being first-time parents we asked a bunch of questions and all the nurses and doctors were very patient with us and answered all of our questions without hesitation. Even though we did not catch everyone's names, we would like to thank everyone who attended to us during our stay. A few names we managed to remember were Doctor Doe, nurses Michelle, Raeena, and Shibi. Seriously, a huge shoutout to this hospital, we couldn't have been in better hands! Thank you again for taking such great care of my family.

Awesome is how I describe this Hospital from the time in the hospital everyone is so pleasant. All of the doctors and staff that I interacted with in ICU has been so delightful, they speak to you with respect and patience. Thumbs up

I had my daughter in this hospital everybody was so nice and kind and everything went smoothly.

My mom is hospitalized here fir a second time. First time was when the psych dept existed here. I don't like their sister hospital at 168th street. Here my experience from the ER to all the nurses on her floor as she's been admitted have been so kind and compassionate w mama's care. I call every morning to check in on her before I get there at noon. They are organized and return calls within an hour often times within 30 minutes. Today we had a musical recreational therapist visit and it made mama so happy. I dont have complaints about this hospital.

I want to thank Dr Sheila Rustgi for the very professional and easy procedure of colonoscopy which I underwent. She explained everything very clearly before and after procedure. It was quick and painless. Also wanted to thank support team. Always positive experience.Thank you again guys.

I had a simple hernia surgery at Allen. From the time I arrived until leaving I always had constant attention from staff. The room I spent most of my time waiting had a view of trees, the Harlem River and the Marble Hill train stop across the river. It was very relaxing long before i was given any sedative for the surgery. In recovery I was well monitored and cared for, once my vitals were correct I was able to get dressed and go home. Everyone was very professional and site felt clean, safe and peaceful.

my 3 childrens was born here and I just can said this hospital in general are #1 since the min you get in and out they treat you like family. Very clean and efficient with there patients. The doc Brianna Baxter and the anesthesiologist hope abba and the whole personal was excellent for me and my family. THANK YOU PRESBYTERIAN FOR YOUR GREAT SERVICES IN OUR COMMUNITY.

My wife gave birth in this place and we were treated very nice. There is a nurse by the name of Carmen, she make us feel like family. Very lovely person.

I was a patient at The Spine Hospital in early August. When I arrived the morning of my surgery, I was warmly greeted and directed to the admission area. Once there, I was treated with patience and kindness and directed as to where I had to wait until being called in to prepare for surgery. Once, the medical staff had prepared me, my family was allowed to remain with me. They were treated with respect and were reassured that all would be well. While in surgery, my family were taken to a beautiful waiting room and provided with foods, snacks and beverages. My wife was kept informed of my progress in the operating room via her cell phone. It was not a text, but rather the nurse and the doctor. The nursing staff, in the recovery room and on the floor was outstanding. They were there when I needed them to assist me or answer any question. The discharge procedure was quick and efficient. This hospital transformed a frightening experience into a reassuring, comforting time. I have nothing but praise for The Allen Hospital - The Spine Hospital. My praise to Dr. Riew , the anesthesiologist, and the staff.
