La Sienna Hotel

This was one of the best experiences ever staying in a hostel! It didn’t feel like a hostel at all but more like staying in someone’s home among delightful guests. The owner Yvette was super sweet and accommodating from day one. The place is very clean and organized. I like the fact that you have a private room for privacy and that the restrooms/ showers are well-maintained between use. I’ll definitely be staying here again when I’m NY!

Yvette seems to be a nice host, but later on, I realized that she does, constantly sets rules and treats adults like small children. I don't understand why we paid for the service but we have to do all the detailed cleaning as she'd texted us and complained how dirty the room is even though it was already like that. I checked in the room and the floor was dirty and sticky, you can feel sand and dirt as you walk into the room. Towels smelled bad and musty so I had to ask for another one. There was no floor mat in the bathroom so the floor was alway wet and sticky and dirty. I have no problem sharing the bathroom/ toilet but it smells very bad because she asked to lock the room at all time after using and there is no ventilation in the toilet room (shower room and toilet are in different rooms but they are next to each other).

I noticed that she has had created 2 accounts for her hotel on Google so people can not see the real and negative feedbacks about the service. 1 is La Sienna and the new one is La Sienna Hotel. Please read the reviews from both websites as they are all true and I have the same experience (she also only responds to people who complained and allegedly 'exposed' their 'bad behaviors').

Dies war eine der schlechtesten Erfahrungen, die ich auf meiner 9-monatigen Reise gemacht habe. Yvette stellt permanent Regeln auf und behandelt erwachsene Menschen wie Kleinkinder. Sie teilte mir in der Nacht um 1.20am mit, dass ich nach 2 Nächten ihr B&B verlassen müsse, da sie mich nicht eingebucht habe für 2 weitere Nächte. Ich hatte ihr nur 2 Nächte bezahlt, allerdings telefonisch 4 Nächte mit ihr abgemacht. Es war eine zermürbende Erfahrung und ich möchte dieser Person nicht noch einmal begegnen. Keine Weiterempfehlung.
