Aloft Harlem

Stayed for one night with family. Location is central to a lot in Harlem. Lots to do just walking distance. The staff is wonderful. Very helpful and handle any questions I had quickly and efficiently. Nice bar area to shoot pool and watch tv in if you want out of the room but not up for outside. Doesn’t feel like you’re in Harlem once you step inside.

We did last minute reservations and they were able to accommodate. We needed to check out later than their 12pm time and they pushed it to 1pm and also informed us that we could have our bagged staged in the lobby if needed. Service was great and the rooms were very clean.

I was a guest at this property a couple of days ago and I have stayed here a few other nights as well, and I must say , there’s a woman named ms. Vivian who is extremely nice to me every time. She helped me with some recommendations of where I can get a few things I needed to be done in the neighborhood and all . Always a pleasure, the again, your guest

I love this hotel. The staff is great. It has a bar with a great bartender. Rooms are nice and pretty large. I was totally comfortable there.

My stay at this Aloft location was driven by logistical convenience for the following day's tour at Columbia University for my 16 year old daughter. I can't say enough how accommodating and friendly the staff was. From water refills, to upgraded room, late check out, extra room keys (that my 11 year old son kept losing despite attempted responsibility opportunity)... the accommodations were clean and comfortable but the people makes this spot 200% unique. Manager Maya and Isis at the front desk could not have made us feel more welcome. Bartender Sequoia was super attentive while mom here enjoyed a glass of wine while the kids did up some card games and pool in the lobby -my son was stoked about the pool table! Overall, we vibed with the energy, atmosphere, and people driving this boutique! Unreservedly recommend!

Me and my cousin had to stay overnight for emergency reasons. We told the front desk our situation. The way they comforted us was remarkable . They also gave us complimentary breakfast. I wish I had gotten their names because the customer service was excellent

Over many years I've stayed in quite a few hotels in New York, in all price categories, and I have to say this is one of the nicer ones I've stayed at in this price range. My room, with a king bed, was surprisingly large. The bathroom was also nice and roomy. Fridge, safe, coffee, iron, the room was well equipped. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and in good condition. The woman at the desk who checked me in was very nice, friendly, and efficient. I did not use any of the other internal services, so I can't really comment on them. This is definitely a hotel I will look at again.

I had the pleasure of staying at this property for 8 days last week for work. I arrived very early and managed to snag an early check-in. I was gladly welcomed by the front desk staff and given my room key within minutes. Housekeeping was fantastic and I loved the breakfast options that were available in the lobby. I arrived home and realized upon unpacking, much to my chagrin that I had left my toiletry bag in the room. I called the hotel and spoke with Isis Almonte. Her tone and tenor instantly made me feel at ease as she contacted lost and found and to my delight, she informed me that the bag had been found. We made arrangements through Fed Ex to return my bag and she even emailed me to let me know when Fed Ex picked up. I will remain loyal to Marriott and Harlem Aloft. This is the customer service that we all deserve but rarely find. ARS

We were in town for an event less than a mile away and this hotel was a great find. It was not cheap but beat out similar hotels on price, including some less convenient to our event.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and decent-sized for Manhattan.

After reading some of the recent reviews, I was very concerned. After my 1 night stay, however, I can say I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the exterior is a little shabby, and the entrance leaves a lot to be desired, but everything else was wonderful. The young woman who checked us in also checked us out. She was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. The evening crew was kind and helpful as well! The room was spotless, and the bathroom was updated. We are Columbia parents and expect to stay here often!

Feels a bit like a very nice hostel. Very clean and modern rooms though and great value for money. Seems like the best value in the area.

Nice rooms. Very spacious for New York. The staff was the best! Very gracious and helpful. My son is on the spectrum and the young ladies at the front desk were so patient with him and so kind. They helped him when he had a mishap in the lobby and treated him so amazing. By the time they called me to come downstairs they had already helped him out and handled the situation. I wish I could give the staff 10 stars!

All in all a wonderful experience!!! The rooms definitely vary; few of my coworkers did not have nearly as nice of a layout as I did. The front desk was phenomenal, friendly, inviting and so fun! The two different bartenders that week were both so friendly, so helpful, really made hanging out at the bar a wonderful experience. Each of them went above and beyond in a few ways throughout the week that I was there.

Very close walking distance to Dunkin for breakfast and morning coffee, around the corner from the Apollo can’t be beat! As well as around the corner from Many chain shopping stores and a few chain restaurants. Had door dash delivered nearly every day and they were very quick, arriving within 20 minutes. Easy pick up and drop off for my daily Uber rides.

Would be nice if they could put some more clear signage at the front advising guests how to use the elevator if they have large bags versus going down the steep steps to get to the check-in desk.

Stayed here in May for daughter's graduation from Columbia. Love this hotel! Room was great-well laid out, with nice bathroom/shower. Bed was so comfortable that I inquired where to purchase. Owner gave awesome tip to skip taxi/Uber and take M60 bus to LaGuardia for $3! Definitely will stay here when I visit my daughter next. Lots of restaurants, parks nearby.

I stayed at Aloft Harlem for two nights and really liked it. The decor was nice and rooms were clean and comfortable, though our in room safe didn't work. Rooms have their own thermostat setting, but the fan was a bit loud (but kept us warm and dry in the days leading up to the snowstorm). Plenty of food and entertainment nearby with the Magic Johnson theater across the street and Apollo theater up two blocks. Staff was friendly and parking was not difficult to find nearby (1-3 blocks). Would stay there again!

Excellent hotel in a great part of town, especially when visiting Columbia University. The room is moderately sized but very nice and has all of the usual comforts and amenities. I very much like the shower and bed, which are very important for me. The staff are also extremely helpful and nice. Would definitely come back!

Had a very sweet experience here recently - their staff was sweet and friendly, the bar area stayed playing good music and had a nice vibe, and my room was a nice size (for NYC lol) and clean. Hope to stay there in the future.

Great location, short walk from Columbia. Staff is courteous and friendly. Room layout is a bit odd though, and my bathroom had some pretty odd lighting that left it dimly lit
