Best experience I ever had renting a car. Pleasant and professional. I went with the information they requested so they could contact my insurance company. I was out of their office and into my rental in 5 minutes. The suv was immaculate and they even provide a tag for free vehicle wash at a local car wash. I left there really glad that I chose this neighborhood business.

My Fiance and I rented from this company and I have to say THEY ARE TERRIFIC!!! Selena( I hope I spelled her name properly) was absolutely charming! She even told me how to use my phone as a GPS instead of paying for one! Imagine that! The cars we've rented were awesome. The customer service cannot be beaten. I wish I could've given10 stars! I especially like how they don't push the extra insurance. She let me know which credit cards have the insurance coverage in their contract. Definitely think about renting from this company. Plus, the gentleman who shows you where the spare tire and demonstrates the wipers, the headlights etc is amazing as well. I also like how they take the pics of any scratches, dings etc. Then, sends you the pics to your phone. Thank You So very much!

I booked a Uhaul for my move this past weekend . After a lot of back and forth with them about not having a truck (even though I booked it a month prior), I showed up to Uhaul the morning of my move and no one was even in the shop and the door was locked during their “open” hours. Luckily, Sensible was directly next door and had a truck available. They quickly helped us out and we were out the door in ten minutes and on our way.

Give the local guy your business. The last thing we needed on moving day was the stress that Uhaul gave us. Sensible Car Rental deserves 5 stars all the way!

This place was so informative and the staff is so nice giving what you need and trusting strangers using their cars... They work with you the best way possible. I would like to thank them all for working out a rental car for the weekend and was very fair with pricing... I believe most negative reviews because if you damage or not return the vehicle in good condition as it was given, they will deduct from your deposit.. This the only place that will allow you to use your debit card and all others need a major card.. Im so grateful for them allowing us to rent with a major card and using their ez pass and not taking advantage of their services.. We will get deposit back soon as they check the amount of us of ez pass....once again I would like to thank Sensible Rental in Bayonne NJ thank you and it was a pleasure doing business with you🙏🏽

I just returned a cargo van that I rented from Sensible. I can’t understand how anyone can say they had a negative experience. I used the van for my move from Staten Island to Tampa Florida. For starters I had previously requested a quote. The price was more than fair for using a van for one week. When I arrived at Sensible, they honored the quote, and went on to assist me with getting access to Sunpass for tolls in Florida. Then they threw in a hand truck for no additional cost to help me move my items. The couple that runs this business is beyond friendly and generous. They made no gripes about anything, were very nice to us, etc. When I picked up the van it had a few miles on it but who cares, as these vans run up to 500,000 miles! The van was offered with u limited mileage, was serviced and cleaned before we picked it up, had a full tank and was the perfect size for items. We drove the van over 2000 miles with no issues mechanically at all. She was smooth and got the job done as we drove the whole east coast and back. When I returned to NY I vacuumed the interior just because it’s the right thing to do, and returned the van on time. When we returned we were greeted very friendly, and the focus was on our trip, and ensuring that the van met our needs etc. I was refunded the 100 dollar deposit for the sunpass as noted in the agreement without an issue.

So all of that said; I will 100 percent have other members of my family use this company for the same van, with no concerns or doubt. Maybe because I understood the rental agreement, and was willing to not destroy the van or not smoke or have pets in the van and was willing to let them verify that I didn’t use their sun pass and returned the van on time as expected I had a great experience. But not for nothing their rental agreement is so clear and fair that there shouldn’t be issues if they need to enforce a cleaning fee for a Cigarette burned stinked up van.. come on now lol.

I use this company some times multiple times a month. They are incredibly helpful. I have never had any surprises. The price is the price and if you get stuck on the road (which I have), they are completely reachable. Professional and courteous, EVERY TIME.

We just moved to Bayonne 8 months ago and i'm still trying to get to know more about the town so i was in search reliable uhaul van rentals and the reviews for this company are very bias and i don't think that is true i was well informed with the rental policy (contract) and i know what myself is getting into, Selena and the gentleman at the front desk were very nice and informative pleasant people, i had a great time talking to them while i was waiting for my rental Van. II strongl recommend this car rental company. Don't just go for what people say you have to try it on your own because you might be missing on the convenience. 🙌

Sensible Car / Truck Rental is a GOD'S send. Upon entering the Bayonne, NJ facility I was gracefully greeted by Ms. Williams, Mr. Mike and Mr. Athar. They gave a new meaning to going above and beyond for EXCELLENT customer service. I was accommodated for my change in service for needing the truck for an extended period of time even in the snow storm we just recently experienced for February 2017. The rates are so reasonable and the deposit is very low, compared to the local competitors. After my UHaul reservation was abruptly cancelled without notice, Paul and Selena helped me out by renting us a 10 ft box truck. Paul even brought me a tv box he had in his house to save me some money buying one from Lowe's. I can't thank them enough for helping to make my move as minimally stressful as possible!

Rented an SUV to go to the mountains - didn’t think my 2-wheel drive car would make it. Clean, great gas mileage and lots of room for bags! Thanks Sensible Car & Truck! They also rent Moving Trucks & moving supplies like boxes, hand trucks, appliance trucks, moving pads and furniture pads. Keep that in mind when moving.
