Amazing babkas, Kokosh cake and challah! The kokosh cake is oogey gooey doughey goodness! I drive here 45 min away to get my babka, challah, and kokosh cake…simply divine.

As a food critic it's only natural Gelbsteins reached out to me to provide a honest review for their kokosh cake. I have to say it was perfect. Crusty on the outside. Flowing with chocolate on the inside . Had that perfect balance of crunch and softness, all in one bite

The Custard Danish is out of this world delicious. This place has the real baking skills and it reflects in their products. I'm sorry I don't live closer to this bakery because their breads and pastries are superb. I have always found the owners and staff to be pleasant, helpful and respectful. This place is a real staple in the ever growing Lakewood community.

Lakewood original bakery! Gelbstiens only sells the most delectable delights and delicious pastries. The Chocolate And Cinamon Kokosh are incredible Danishes are out of this world Especially the Custard And the Cheese ones. They have all your standard bakery cookies and cakes of course. One of there special items are the Frog Cupcakes that they only offer once a year. My favorite thing is there new SourDough line in my opinion the best is the Olive SourDough Challah. I'm also waiting to try the SourDough Babka.

This bakery is a very special place and run by a mench, Joel. He showed my brother's family incredible kindness and generosity. I shall always be grateful. Of course, the breads and cakes are the finest and most delicious.

Quiet neat storefront, with superfast cashier. Gelbstien's Bakery in my opinion has the best Sourdough bread in Lakewood. Super crunchy crust, soft fresh inside. Taste like heaven.

everything gelbsteins sells is fresh and tasty. my favorite thing they sell are there danishes. its amazing what goes on there once i walked through the back and its legit a bakery factory and still all their products are Aplus.
