Sunburst Pie Company

Excellent quiche with a crust that is airy and just crunchy on the exterior. I had the asparagus, artichoke and goat cheese. The vegetables were cooked but not mushy and the egg/cheese was a nice custard consistency. Would absolutely recommend.

I forgot to order our favorite spinach and bacon quiche from Sunburst Pie Co. to bring for Christmas brunch. Ran in at 9 am on Christmas Eve 2023, grabbing the last quiche, which was crabmeat and asparagus. What a hit! It was devoured and raved about. I will be ordering this for the holidays next year, for sure. We love their blueberry and choc chip scones too.

Small town gem! Called to order a lemon meringue pie for dad's birthday, we didn't see on the regular menu but Jay was happy to make it for us. When we picked it up you could tell the pie was just "scratch made," it looked rustic and refined. The flavors were so fresh and vibrant our guests were blown away. Thanks to Sunburst we are now a "Pie on your Birthday" family. Peruvian chicken empanadas were awesome too, crust is so flakey and nice authentic touch with the raisins. Can't wait to try more stuff!

The empanadas are absolutely delicious with so much flavor, along with the salsa verde. The chicken was our favorite. We can’t wait to go back and try more!

Absolutely fantastic. Nothing about this place is bad - exceptional service, great wifi the food is absolutely perfect and it couldn't be run by a nicer guy. Very happy he's in town and hopefully he will be for a long time.

The craft hot chocolate at Sunburst is the best hot chocolate I've ever had and I can't even explain how delicious the beef empanada is - you just have to try it 😍

Easily the best empanadas I’ve ever had!! Crust and filling superb. Just the right amount of spice with the beef and chorizo black bean. Salsa verde was delish too!! I will definitely be going back. There is a chicken one I must try!! Kudos!

Simply the Best. 10 stars. Scones are beyond amazing and the pies are perfection. Sunburst Pie Co is an integral part of our Squan Life - friends and family never leave town without taking some scones home. Jay is a maestro.🤙🏼

I love this place! The cream pies are made with real cream and the chocolate is top rate. The crust is flaky and flavorful. The apple pie is one of our favorites. It's not too sweet, the apples are tender and delicious.
My family comes to Manasquan once a year and Sunburst Pie Co is a must for us. Last year they were closed during our visit. This year after our 3-hr drive we went directly to Sunburst and arrived 2 minutes after closing. The wonderful staff let me come in and I bought 2 delicious pies, apple crumb and chocolate coconut cream. We savored every bite. These are the best pies in a 200 mile radius!

I just want to add an update to my previous review. I came here the last two weeks in a row to grab a few of the smaller pies for gatherings. As always, you show up crossing your fingers someone else has not cleaned out the cases! I mentioned while I was here to another patron how you will never find a better banana cream pie anywhere in the whole United States period! I told him that my daughter in Los Angeles insists we hand carry it on the plane when visiting. Now that says something... Yes, it's still the most luxurious banana cream pie you will ever taste. The crust is light and flaky and the pie itself is sweet, creamy and actually has bananas! I know we all believe it should but not every bakery actually puts banana slices in theirs. The chocolate cream pie is very decadent and rich. Almost like a pudding bottom and mousse consistency above it for a dual layer of chocolate. He makes smaller "individual" pies as well as regular big pies. I tried both smaller ones which each one are totally big enough for two hungry people with a sweet tooth. I shared with neighbors who also gave 5 stars all the way. Will be back, warning get there early or call ahead to hold your pies

These were the best pies we have ever had!!!! So yummy! The chicken pot pie was amazing too! Can’t wait to try more! We had the apple crumb, chocolate cream, and coconut cream. And my son loved the pumpkin!

Finally made it to your store been wanting to try your chocolate cream pie. I have to say best I’ve ever had just delicious!!!👍

Awesome pies. We had a family get together nearby and my pops and I tried this little local place to grab a few pies. Peach cobbler was good and the dude behind the counter was a pretty chill guy. Never been to a pie place, so this definitely grabbed my attention in our search. As such, 5 stars for making me want to come back again rather than buy pies at a supermarket.

It doesn't get better than Sunburst's baked goods... or soups.... and now breakfast too! I started typing out all of the amazing things you must try when you visit and realized it was literally everything they make, lol. It's that good. The quiches are the best you'll ever have, scones as well. The soups are homemade and no corner is cut! Now that they serve breakfast it's getting a lot busier so just be patient. It'll be worth it, promise.

Had an amazing breakfast (empanadas, scones and quiche - oh my!), and took some mini pies home for dessert. Easily one of the best apple pies I’ve ever had.

I had won a gift certificate for this place so i went to spend it. I wont lie, I sort of chuckled at the prices of the pies when i came in here the first time. I figured “ its just a pie, how good could it be?” I stand corrected and humbled. Seriously the best pies I've ever tried. The Pecan pie?!?..blown away And i typically dont even like pecan pie. I am blown away! I plan on buying a few for Thanksgiving and freezing an extra for later ;) you will not be sorry if you check this place out. A++

I think everything they sell is as good as, or better than, homemade. I've had their spinach and bacon quiche, shitake mushroom and asparagus quiche, peach pie and blueberry scones - all winners! Must go when in Manasquan; highly recommend!

Seems most folks are on here ranting about the pies on here.... while the two "minis" I've had the opportunity to devour over the last couple of weeks were certainly worthy of silent nod of appreciation.... but seriously... I see not one mention to the brownies.... HANDS DOWN BEST BROWNIES EVER!!!
