Riverside Cafe

I’ve never had breakfast at the Riverside Cafe - my boyfriend and I have had lunch there often but he spotted a menu item he knew I’d like. He’s a pork roll guy, but knew the California Egg- Mike- named after the owner- was right up
My alley. It was a work of art- a large, toasted English muffin topped with fluffy scrambled eggs, perfect sliced avocado, a ripe slice of summer tomato and American cheese. It was the kind of breakfast I’d been looking for. My boyfriend had large buttermilk pancakes with juicy blueberries. The location is wonderful- we sat under a palm tree and watched the boats go by on the inlet. The service is quick and friendly, thanks to the owners of an establishment that has been in Manasquan for almost 60 years. Another Riverside meal that I’ll happily be back for!

The BEST pancakes at the jersey shore!!! A perfectly grilled Taylor ham and egg sandwich. Really can’t say enough good things about this fantastic family owned restaurant. A perfect pre-beach breakfast.

Super pet-friendly, pup-cup for my baby, waterfront tables, good menu selection, gluten free bread/grilled chicken sandwich, delicious ice cream, service with a smile! Nearby dog beach Fisherman's Cove as well!

Went for a bike ride this morning with a buddy. Started in Howell and our ride led us to the inlet. Working up a sweat and hunger we choose to eat at Riverside Cafe, where I had the Egg Mike Sandwich with Bacon and my buddy had The California Egg Mike. Both absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, and amazingly fresh! Highly highly recommend!

This place is amazing! Came here for breakfast before heading to the beach. Had an egg and cheese sandwich. It was so fresh and just delicious! My friend had pancakes and said they were some of the best she’s ever had! Definitely recommend coming here! Friendly service and great atmosphere also!

I was biking along the beach with my friend and worked up an appetite. We passed this cafe and decided to check it out. Plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas. A bike rack to park and lock our bikes. I ordered the pork roll, egg and cheesee on a hard roll. This entree was quite satisfying. The spot is conveniniently located a block from the beach. Classic shore dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Including ice cream. The next time I'm dts I'll check this place out for dessert. Cash, card, and Apple Pay are accepted. 9.9/10

We brought our Puppy and the first thing the Nicest woman behind the counter did is give her a treat and a bowl of water. We had the fish tacos, they were delicious and a Mango Smoothie, which was great. Our puppy had a " doggie Bag" which included Food, 2 treat bags, a Ball and even a poopie bag. She loved it. This is a casual, Order at the counter place but perfect for a Sunday afternoon, watching the boats and just relaxing in the sun.

Went by for breakfast and the two guys taking orders were friendly and funny. I ordered the California Egg-Mike and a French vanilla iced coffee and it was delicious! The music playing in the background was inviting and I can’t wait to go back and try the lunch menu!

What a great place. Very nice owner I met this past Memorial Day. First time there. They are dog friendly which is awesome. Food was terrific. Location is great. Overlooking the inlet. This is my go to place now when I come to the shore with our dogs. Highly recommend!!

Best bacon egg and cheese and Taylor ham egg and cheese around. Bacon and Taylor ham are perfectly crispy without being over done and the eggs are perfectly done, slightly runny. The staff are lovely and it’s such a great spot to come for breakfast and watch the boats in the inlet. Oh! Make sure you try the iced coffee too!

This was a great cafe within easy walking distance of the dog beach and besides letting dogs in the outside patio area, they also have "doggie meals!" We got the small for our golden and it had a little container of kibble, a small can of wet food, two bags of 3-4 treats of various types, a tennis ball, and a poop bag! The human food was all good, too!

Famous for fish tacos and the classic fish n chips. Fresh caught daily fish fillets in a batter that is very special. Tartar sauce was fresh handmade along w coleslaw

I love this place! And so does my pup Lola:) We love that it’s dog friendly and that they treat my dog like the royalty that she is to me:) Great location, great food, great service and great people. It’s my favorite spot at the shore! It’s a must:)

Had fish tacos and buffalo chicken quesadillas with side of fries! It was great! And super dog friendly with a doggy meal bag available. So cute.

What can I say? Everything is good as you eat lunch as you watch the boats go in-and-out of the inlet. What a relaxing atmosphere & smell of fresh air. The 2 people that serve you are family & owners of the Cafe, very friendly.

Visiting our son, he suggested Riverside Cafe for fish tacos, and are we glad he did. Some of the best fish tacos we’ve had. Hope we can back here again before we head home!

My fiance' Ron and I have been driving down to the Riverside Cafe for an enjoyable breakfast for the last couple of years.
We relax, enjoy the ambiance, and spend the rest of the day at a nearby beach. The wraps, pancakes, and breakfast sandwiches have always been delicious. Thank you, Michael, for another wonderful summer. Looking forward to next year.

Amazing people work here! We came here because other reviews mentioned it was dog friendly and they weren't kidding. Everyone was so nice and they offered water for our dogs when we got there. Such a good spot for after the beach too. The chicken sandwich really hit the spot!

Great spot to go to after a morning at the dog beach. They have outdoor seating and are pet friendly(not sure if they are but they didn’t say anything about my dog). Had some tenders and fries and my fiancé had fish tacos. The fries and tenders were hot and crispy and my fiancé ate every last bite of her tacos. Didn’t even let me try them. Will be visiting again. A little pricey but inflation is crazy, what can you do?

We usually don’t go far from Main Beach only because of the parking situation, but tonight my husband, daughter, and I rode our bikes up to Riverside Café and had some absolutely delicious fish tacos while watching a beautiful sunset on the inlet . We will definitely go back and try some other things. Highly recommend!
