Love Booktowne. Our family has eclectic tastes in books and Booktowne never fails to have something interesting. And if they don't have it, they are more than happy to order it. Such a great thing to have a local bookstore in this day and age.

I've always felt so fortunate to have such a great local bookstore. Nothing makes me happier than wandering around a store looking for a good read and my boys love checking out their beautiful window displays every seasons. Yes, they're on the smaller side but I've never had an issue finding what I was looking for and if they don't have it in stock they are quick to order it. Their kids section is phenomenal and they carry some of the best toys around. Seriously, my go to for gifting. What really sets Booktowne apart is the people who own it and work there. I really dropped the ball on my sons 2nd birthday this year and when I called the day before in a panic Kira was an absolute lifesaver. She asked me a few questions about him and a few minutes later sent me an email with a ton of suggestions. She placed my order over the phone so I didn't have to run out during naptime, wrapped everything and had it waiting for my husband to pick up on his way home.
Last night they hosted a Christmas PJ story time and truly went above and beyond. Gifts for the kids, giveaways, and cookies and cider for all of us. Of all of the holiday events we've been to (and with a 2 and 4 year old we've had a very busy month) this was one of our favorites. You can tell everyone in there loves what they do and we are so grateful for that and for them. My family and I will be booktowne customers for life.

The BEST bookshop in the state. Even if you don’t like to read, you will find something in there. Cute decor, amazing choices (I’ve bought 30 books and haven’t read one that I didn’t enjoy), and kind staff.

They had a great selection. I liked the reviews for the books they put out. Felt very relaxing and comfortable. It's nice to go to a book store that's not a chain

I have never been to this book store itself, my review is based off of a book signing event I attended at the Algonquin Theatre hosted by BookTowne.

I was VERY impressed with the organization and professionalism of this event (Nicholas Sparks “The Wish” book tour). From start to finish the whole event was a great time! I went with my friend, and we both kept talking about how smoothly the whole night went. It made for a very enjoyable night out with my book bestie and meeting one of our favorite authors! Very thankful for BookTowne for hosting an event like this!! I hope they have more in the future!

I am not from the area to frequent the book store, but next time I head down to the beach, I plan on making a stop to the store!! 📖 📚

Best book store of its size I've ever seen. Constantly rotating collection. Wonderful kids section. All the bestsellers. Friendly staff. Classics, biography, politics, novels new and old. Mostly paperbacks, but hardcovers for new books. Local authors and artists featured. Best of all - ask about the advanced releases. One time I won a 60 dollar book (which I likely would have bought anyway) just by entering my name in a raffle.

I mean I love book stores (and libraries) and this place is top notch. I've been saying this for years and it's time I said it publicly - BookTowne is the best pound-for-pound bookstore in Monmouth County.

Book Towne is a small independently owned book store in Manasquan. The people are friendly and helpful. The store is fun with not only books, but book themed gifts, and games, toys. Kids section as well. They can order books as well. There are also book recommendations from the employees

Peter and the staff here expertly curate an engaging mix of books for our local community, from the high school summer reading list to the latest pulpy beach read. They host book signings featuring both high-wattage authors to local scribblers looking to break into the business. I fall into the latter category and am DEEPLY grateful to Booktowne for supporting local authors. Check them out! They also have a great online selection as well.

Cute book store in Manasquan. It is small but seems to have a good selection. Fiction, non-fiction, memoirs, cookbooks, etc. I was able to pre-order a book that hadn't been released yet and picked up. Staff is friendly and helpful. I love supporting local businesses, especially an independent book store. I like walking through to browse books and finding just the right book.

I love Booktowne! It makes me so happy to support a local bookseller, that I travel 30 minutes to visit. It's a store with a super cool vibe, and I've gotten great books and fantastic books for the book lovers in my world.

Owning a small business myself, I know the importance of shopping local. I love Booktowne not only because it is down the street from me, but because it is small and intimate, yet packs a punch. The staff is kind, helpful, and knowledgeable and has never steered me wrong. So grateful for them!

Booktowne is thee best store experience around. The staff is incredibly helpful and well read. They know their customers. Their recommendations are spot on. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they order for you and you have it within 2 days. In a time where online has ruined downtowns, this store continues to thrive!!!

Best independent book store in northern part of the Jersey Shore.

I’ve been a customer here since the very first year they opened. Very accommodating staff, knowledgeable and well read. If there’s something they don’t have they’ll gladly order it. Great gifts, games and accessories too. And obviously it’s faster easier & sometimes cheaper to order online, but there’s nothing like having a bookstore in your area, especially a small privately owned one...that my friend, is priceless. I went to an author reading here!They served cheese and crackers, wine, water and ice tee. This book store is a treasure. Owner is wonderful and I enjoyed every moment! Keep stores like this going!
