Boulevard Clams

Went for lunch. Girlfriend got a burger which was pretty average, but that's not why people go there! This was for sure in the top 5 lobster rolls of my life. Perfectly cooked, fresh, buttery, succulent lobster. Price was reasonable and what you should expect for a lobster roll. We also got an order of calamari, which was also perfectly prepared, and so delicious. The ambiance was very cute with the reggae music and beachy vibes. The staff was so friendly. I honestly can't wait to go again next year.

I was really looking forward to eating at this place and my expectations were certainly met, perhaps even exceeded.
The place is kind of small, with a section for sitting in and one for just purchasing for take out. However, the decor and general vibes of the place really pull through, helping to create a great atmosphere.
The food was absolutely delicious, and I can’t stress that enough. I ordered the fried seafood combination, which came with fries and a side. It was extremely filling and extremely tasty, definitely ranking high on the quality tier. Everything just tasted so fresh and was cooked so well. Additionally, another person in my party ordered the Ipswich full belly clams, and they were just so good. They were clean, fresh and cooked so perfectly, I really can’t compare it to anything else.

Also, the service was just top notch. Our waitress was extremely friendly, and was helpful in ordering and everything else. Our cups were never empty and our table was never cluttered. The service was way better than most places, which contributed to a great dining experience.

Overall, with a nice atmosphere, delicious food and outstanding service, Boulevard Clams sticks in my mind as an extremely great place that I definitely recommend to anybody. I will most definitely be back the next opportunity that I have.

My family went here last night for dinner. Very family friendly and on the casual side for those nights off you just need great food with large portions for your family. I'm assuming they source their fish locally because it was super fresh.

We all got something different. We shared the lobster roll and it was the best I've ever had, all claw and tail. The brother got the premium crab cakes and they said it's a family recipe I've never seen a crab cake like this before and I've had my fair share, again this was all meat with almost absolutely no filler.

This is a wonderful go-to place for fresh seafood and BYOB restaurant dining. Our party of five was greeted quickly and immediately seated. Brittany, our server, was warm and friendly. She was spot-on with her service, suggestions, small talk, and attention to our table. We all enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. I highly recommend this LBI staple for quaint, cozy, and quality dining.

Delicious 😋 what a great little find. I had the New England Clam Chowder that had a fair amount of clams and potatoes. Next, I had a broiled flounder sandwich that came with lettuce & and tomatoes, which was amazingly fresh. I also had the large lemonade, which I believe might have been made on the spot, as it had a half of lemon in it. Excellent Service. Very nice young girls serving Excellent food. Highly recommend.

Loved this place, should’ve gone back. One of the best lobster rolls we’ve ever had, warm, buttery and just stuffed with lobster. We were craving fried clams so ordered without asking what the market price was. Mistake! Check came and the price was $39!! Had to laugh so we wouldn’t cry. Waitress was a sweetheart, all the folks here seemed nice.

This is such a gem of a place! Great cozy atmosphere and you’re greeted as if the staff knows you. We had the New England clam chowder, whole belly fried clams, shrimp and scallop scampi and horseradish crusted swordfish. Everything was delicious, right down to the sweet Jersey corn and coleslaw. Our server, Kate, made amazing recommendations that were spot on. And Liam, who was working his first day, took great care of us as well. Can’t wait to go back and try the lobster rolls - the couple sitting a few tables over had them and they are huge! Also, the homemade lemonade is perfection!

We usually drive right past Boulevard Clams because they don’t have a restaurant but this year given the pandemic, we gave curbside pickup a try and were immediately sold. I got the lobster roll which was fantastic and they give such large portions! The roll was so good that we went back the next two nights after. Other members of my group got the shrimp and scallops scampi and the crab cake sandwich which were both tasty but by the third night, we all got lobster rolls. We will definitely be going back!

Love the hole in the wall vibe and they have a delicious and affordable clam chowder. Their lobster roll is also buttery and understated with lots of lobster. Would eat here everyday if I could afford it. :)

The to go food is fantastic. You won't be stuffed and you won't be starving based on portion sizes. Prices for to-go and dine in foods are fair. Their lobster rolls are slightly dry because the roll is very dry (not a top sliced new england hot dog bun), however, the lobster is a very generous portion... about twice the lobster of "viking off the hook" for the same price. Only draw back, their fish market prices are higher than elsewhere on the island. Definitely recommend dining in or taking out!!! 👌

My family stopped by for lunch, and everything we had was amazing. My favorites were the scallops and crab cakes, which were recommended by our server Colleen, who was absolutely lovely. Seriously one of the best crab cakes I’ve ever had.

Went here on a whim. Excellent lobster rolls; they did not skimp on huge chunks of lobster. I will be back.

Can’t say enough positive things about Boulevard Clams. I have celiac and they took so much care to make sure my meal was prepared separately. Not only that but the GF crab cakes were incredible! Can’t wait to come back!

We are frequent customers every year for 20 years coming to LBI. The star ledger reviewed the whole belly Fried clams to be the best in the state. So last night we ordered them and brought them home. OMG, I have eaten clams from Canada to Florida and these were the best I have ever had. And they are a bit pricey, But worth every penny, and you only live once. I will be back before the summer ends.

Boulevard Clams is an LBI institution, I have been a loyal fan since the opened in the 1970s. Both their seafood market and restaurant provide outstanding selections. Favorites are freshest flounder, swordfish and salmon. When in season their hot and dirty crabs are the best on the island. Their crab cakes are the finest on LBI. Neil is the new owner, as he has taken over the business from his parents, and always greets you with a smile. Great family run business with the finest lemonade in NJ. A true Jersey Shore necessity if visiting the LBI area. You can't miss this beach seafood shop and restaurant. The staff work hard to make your experience memorable, so tip generously.

Amazing Snow Crabs and probably the freshest scallops I’ve ever had! Absolutely delicious. I always hit this place up a few times every summer, from NYC, always worth the drive

We had steamed hot & dirty crabs and the Parmesan encrusted shrimp with penne. Tiny eating area yet not cramped; the staff was awesome & our food excellent!

I've had plenty but the lobster roll at Boulevard Clams was the best ever! Thoroughly enjoyed lunch with friends sitting outside under the awning on a perfect afternoon. The lemonade hit hard with the lobster roll on a summer afternoon.

A hidden gem in Surf City. Boulevard clams is at the North end of Surf City but worth the drive. All the staff is friendly and the service was on point. We were seated right away and had our soups on the table within 2 minutes of ordering them. The lobster mac and cheese special was to die for. The lobster was tender and the 4 cheese Mac was ooey gooey.
Make the trip for delicious food, speedy service, and a great atmosphere.
