Coastal Pediatric Orthopedics - Dr Christos Plakas

Dr. Plakas is a once in a lifetime type of doctor. Took my son to the emergency room and the drs there said he was fine , just a bruised hand . Dr Plakas read the same x-ray and found two broken knuckles . The staff and Dr. Plakas treat all their patients as if they were family . I pray no child gets hurt . If your child does get hurt . I pray you go to Dr. Plakas!

Dr. Plakas & his staff went absolutely above and beyond from start to finish after my daughter fell and broke her ankle on a Sunday evening. The communication, friendliness, bedside manner, knowledge & true feeling of knowing that you're not being viewed as "just another patient" when dealing with Dr. Plakas is something that's simply unmatched.
5 stars just aren't enough to cover the rating that Dr. Plakas and his office deserve and I could not be more thankful that my daughters care was put into his hands.

Dr Plakas was by far the best doctor I have been to. My daughter broke her ankle and I couldn’t get any orthopedic to see her. I called Dr Plakas and he answered immediately and met us at the Er in an hour. Very professional, patient, and very thorough with my daughter’s care. Office staff was very accommodating and nice. I wish all doctors were like him!

I could not be more happy with the treatment that my daughter received while under the care of Dr. Plakas and his team. From the moment I spoke with him following my daughters injury (broken arm), I felt very comfortable that he was the right Pediatric Orthopedic doctor for us. His attention to detail, and ability to work with young kids, made the recovery process very easy to navigate. Most importantly for her, he was able to get her back to soccer and hockey in a reasonable, but safe, timeframe. The entire staff was always very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone in the future.

Dr. Plakas evaluated my son 2 weeks ago due to his foot injury. His excellent expertise and skills is commendable. His office and staff , especially Sam, his nurse is very accomodating, helpful, and so professional. Their office have taken an extra mile to treat my son. My husband and I felt so relieved that Dr. Plakas was able to treat our son in this difficult situation. Sam on the other hand is an extreme asset to the office. I would definitely recommend this office to all those who need an excellent pediatric service. This orthopedic office is second to none.

Dr. Plakas was unbelievable in not only treating my four year son when he broke his toe, but the follow up leading up to treatment was unreal. Dr. Plakas emailed me back within minutes even though he wasn't technically "working'. He arranged to meet us at the ER and guided us through the entire process. The woman in the office was so nice and could not have been more helpful. If your child breaks something...this is the team you want! Thank you!

Dr. Plakos is the absolute best! I called the office on a Sunday, left a message inquiring aboutabout and availability. Within five minutes Dr. Plakos called me back andawithin an hour he met my daughter and I in the E.R.! He treated my daughter's broken foot quickly and before we knew it, we were on our way! His is kind, knowledgeable, and has wonderful bedside manner with kids. I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Plakos!

Dr Plakus and the staff are amazing! They treated us with the utmost respect and helped my little girl physically and Emotionally as she was going thru her surgeries.

Their response time is excellent! You send them a question and they are Right on!

My daughter hurt her elbow , I took her to Community Medical right away as she wasn't able to move it much and swelling started immediately. We were discharged with a contusion discharge paper. Had an orthopedic appointment set for over a week out with another practice. 4 days in , her temporary splint was bothersome and pain was still persistent. I went to google & read reviews. Saw this Office and its reviews so I called Dr. Plaskas office and received the best care on the phone and then in office. I got a call right away back stating the Dr. saw a fracture in her ER films and got her in the same day to cast her! He was calm & friendly. My daughter is 3 and he handled everything so perfect. He even gave her a awesome cast design to show off . Every in office check up was a breeze ! I highly recommend Dr. Plaskas and his office staff. Great care !

Dr Plakas was amazing , set my sons arm up in the er, he managed to come in between his schedule with surgeries !!! Very welcoming office!! Highly recommend!!

Excellent experience. Immediate care (no waiting for two weeks for an appointment!!), immediate response to my call, and a cast within hours! Compassionate and professional. Can’t say I want to have any more broken bones but if we do then would use this practice again.

I've had to come see the doctor with a few different children this year. Every time he and the office staff have bent over backwards to accommodate me. Recommend them highly

great doctor who has a calm demeanor. Explains everything without rushing you and also very flexible with appointment schedules etc... Highly recommended!
