Surf City Hotel

Truly my happy place! Rooms are simple and clean. Very very close to the ocean. Friendly helpful staff. This hotel and inn has a Restaurant, Tiki and liquor store in season. Walk to boutiques, restaurants, and coffee shops. Mini golf too! Great value!

Called day-of and was able to get a great price on a room for a Friday. They were super accommodating with us coming after midnight and they made it very easy to access our room. The room was very quiet considering the busy night life on the other side of the hotel. Loved it! It is now going to be part of our yearly plans for coming in early (except hopefully I remember to call before the day of!)

The hotel staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and helpful.

The room was a tad small but very quaint. We found everything clean. We were happy with our stay.

Donna is a great waitress here. Been at the same establishment for 37 years. So you can always count on great service. Came with a party of 4. Steam clams, raw oysters & calamari. The clams not so flavorful. But all good is very fresh. Didn’t taste the garlic or any seasoning. But everyone has preference.

Only gone for food and music and it never disappoints. They have great bands play.

Great place! Location is convenient to everything on the island, room wS comfy and spacious, yhe downstairs restaurant was yummy!

We stayed in the cottage, i have absolutely no complaints. Room was adorable, the decor was just the cutest. Everything was super clean. Plus the towels were actually big and soft, unlike a lot of hotels i’ve stayed in. Staff was also super helpful and kind. Will be staying here many times in the future! Cannot recommend this place enough! :)

I love this place! The new chef is awesome & Christy, Deb & John get things DONE when it comes to a busy bar.

Everything you need is right there, a great restaurant and bar and a good outside bar. The hotel itself is very comfortable and clean. The rooms are decorated really nice and the beds are super comfortable. The hotel staff are all amazing from the front desk to housekeeping. They were all so friendly and very helpful. Also the beach is right there. Awesome place to stay!

Great meal, great drinks and we had a great waitress. I wish I could remember her name, she was that good.

I wanted to thank all staff members at there hotel but especially Renae there hotel manager. We had a blast for a couple of weeks during the month of August. The rooms were great and the service was excellent. I highly recommend staying there for the pleasure of everything they offer. Great bar and food as well as great bands playing music. There access to the beach was perfect. Thx u all again for a great stay. Highly recommend!!

I've only experienced dinner and happy hours, mostly at the outside bar area. It's casual, fun, good service and food, and a nice crowd of people of varied ages.

HOTTEST BARTENDERS EVER. Live bands are always so good, always packed house and the vibes are immaculate. Best place to go out in LBI.

The front desk was extremely helpful with what we needed during our stay. The place was kept clean and the cleaning staff was amazing. The restaurant/bar downstairs was super helpful when looking for quick dinner/drink options! We loved staying at this hotel for the week!

Pleasantly surprised at how nice they had fixed this place is now. Have to say in previous trips to this establishment years ago, we had bad experiences, but we tried it again tonight and both hostess who seated us and Hannah the person who served us were fantastic. Drinks were well done and dessert was shared and enough for two people. I am going to go back again soon. Recommend.

Lots of positive changes! New owners and new chefs at the hotel. They've updated it,made positive changes, but have still kept the local flavor. I've had the flounder stuffed with crabmeat twice, and it's been cooked to perfection, not at all dry. Burgers are delicious, onion rings nice and crispy, and vegetable sides are perfect, not overcooked. Fish and chips are a good choice and reasonably priced. The waitstaff is pleasant and accommodating. If the hotel has been your family tradition, you will be pleasantly surprised. It is much better than it has been for many years.

Clean friendly hotel. 1 minute walk from the beach. Rooms were nothing special but very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, a real pleasure to deal with. We stayed on a Friday night. They had a great rock and roll band, cheap drinks and a packed house! So much fun dining drinking and dancing til almost 2am. I'd go back every week if I could.

The staff, especially Tammy and Barbara were exceptionally helpful and friendly!! The room was awesome, the food excellent and the entertainment/music/bands were the best on the Island!! Located within a minute from the beach(walking). Prices per night were reasonable. Can't imagine staying anywhere else!!

The oysters on the half shell were DELISH! Really hit the spot. Not chewy and super yummy. Baked chicken in Surf City Chicken and Shrimp dinner special was soft and moist; shrimp were HUGE! Staff was super friendly and engaged with our daughter 2 year old daughter who talked to them every time they passed by.
