I cannot say enough good things about Mark, the owner. I lost my father on May 1st, 2024 and he was such a comfort from the beginning of planning all the way to the end. Granted, my sister did most of the communicating with him since she is local but he made himself available for any questions pretty much around the clock. When we found out my father didn't have life insurance or Medicare as we thought he did, Mark alleviated the financial strain by working within our budget and wrote up an itemized receipt to keep us on track. Mark kept things professional but was so supportive at a time when my siblings and I really needed it. On top of that, the funeral home itself is gorgeous. Space wasn't an issue and the restrooms were easily accessible. Overall, we met Mark under devastating circumstances but I'm glad we did. If I ever require funeral services again, I'll only go here. Thank you so much Mark!

Mr. Tilghman guided me through a very difficult time when preparing for my mother's funeral. He handled every aspect of her viewing and burial. I thank him for his caring support, compassion, and attention to detail. I am very grateful for all he did.

Mr. Tilghman helped us through the hardest time of our lives so far. We never would have imagined having to bury our first grandchild. He was kind, considerate, and answered every question that we had in a compassionate and understanding way. Mark helped us arrange everything and also handled all that was needed. We did not have anything to worry about except getting our family through this trying time. This tragedy happened during the pandemic so there were a bunch of restrictions in play and we were kept informed about all of them. I can not say enough good things about Marl C. Tillghman Funeral Home. From beginning to end Mark handled everything with kindness and professionalism. There was never a doubt that he didn’t have our best interest in mind. He was so warm it was like dealing with a friend . I would recommend Mark 100/10.

I lost my love, Tommy Hayes, on November 17, 2020. Mark Tilghman was the very best to deal with in the very worst of times. We called him from a hospital in Va., and he handled every last detail, from getting my love back with family and friends to New Jersey to having the Army honor guard give him the military send off he would have wanted, and everything in between. Particularly with all the Covid challenges, Tom’s family and I were so happy that we were able to give Tommy a sendoff that he would have been very happy with. No detail was too small or big for Mark, and nothing could have been handled any better. He was such a genuine comfort to me. I highly recommend Mark for any family that wants the best in their time of need.

We are so thankful for Mark. He was very helpful. My sister and I walked in his home without any knowledge on how to arrange funerals. Mark was so kind and understanding.
After speaking to Mark about the funeral, he took it from there. He didn’t let us do anything else. For example, he got in touch with the medical examiner and the cementary. We did not have to do anything else.

I’ve heard stories about other funeral homes who take advantage of people who are in mourning. Mark was not like that at all, he is no shark; his prices are very reasonable

I cannot thank Mr. Tilghman enough for how he treated my family in our sadness. He is very respectful, kind and shows so much care for grieving families. He answered in the middle of the night and was very attentive to our needs. In our situation everything happened so quickly and he still hasn't faltered in helping us at every turn. He was even on his way to PA when we called for help with a situation and don't you know he TURNED AROUND just to meet us at the funeral home??? Who does that? HE DOES!!

If you want the best service possible in your time of need you DEFINITELY NEED TO GO TO HIM! Mark, you are a phenomenal human being and we will always be grateful towards you! Thank you!

Mr Tilghman provided compassionate, and honest guidance during a very difficult time. His primary concern was that we were able to plan the arrangements as easily and painlessly as possible. Mr Tilghman addressed any concerns in a timely manner and provided us with a response that gave us confidence that the arrangements will be exceed our expectations. Mr. Tilghman was outstanding! He was at all times professional, courteous and kind. He was available for any questions or concerns. The funeral home was neat, easily accessible and able to accommodate large numbers of individuals. Mr Tilghman contacted us frequently to see if there was anything extra the family needed. My sister passed 4 yrs ago. Mark was so attentive to my family and made a very difficult time go as smooth as humanly possible.
This week I lost another sister, suddenly and we were lost. My father 93 and my Mom 85
having to bury 2 children was crushing.

Mark handled my great-grandmom's and Dad's services. He was a dear. Always kind and professional, and I never felt like he pressured us into extra (higher priced) services. You can tell he cares more about the people than money. He made everything as easy and run as smoothly as possible. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with a loss.

I recently suffered the loss of my father as well as my brother in law within weeks of each other. Mark and Kevin did such a beautiful job in arranging for both services. Not only were they both presented so beautifully but they were so supportive in assisting with all the other details.
