Shangri La

Some of the best orange chicken I’ve had in a long while, it’s on the sweeter side but was not mostly breading like most places. Got the Dan Dan and added veggies and egg and was delicious. Portions were good for the prices! Kids devoured their noodles. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Food came out fairly quick and was hot and fresh. Will be coming back in the future.

We ate in. Quiet place, nice people, great service. Ordered two Generals, we liked it so much we got a third. We were offered 5 level of spiciness. I like spicy, i got #4 and it was spicy. 5 would be for real spicy food enthusiasts. It was fantastic. Broccoli with garlic sauce was as it should be. Black bean was a little salty but good sized and very fresh vegetables. I would order with less salt next time. White rice was cooked to perfection and they keep it coming. Overall it was a very nice dining experience.

We've gotten this from Door Dash a few times, but this was the first time we've actually gone into the brick and mortar store. I really liked it. The wait staff was all very quick and accommodating. The food was very good (try the Dan Dan!) and the whole place was really clean and appealing. It was pretty crowded, but we also went at peak dinner time on a Friday night. I enjoyed every minute of it.

My new go-to place for Chinese food.
Their lunch portion is perfect for when a craving hits but you don’t want tons of food. The general tso tofu is delicious and I love that they don’t batter the tofu. The lo mein is pleasantly chewy, not greasy at all. And they gave me a chocolate fortune cookie!

Been here several times with my family and my sister and her family, over the past 10 years. They've been going to this restaurant for 20 years. IMO it's the best Chinese food I've had in South Jersey. The service is great. Most of the staff have been there for years so they always recognize us. You have to try the snow pea leaves and the scallion pancakes because those are the two items on the menu that you can't find anywhere else! I never took pics because I was too busy eating all the great food! Also they give great sized portions of their dishes so it's enough to share between 2 or 3 people. YUMMMM

Our traditional Christmas dinner was sidelined by covid, so my daughters and I decided on a festive Chinese Christmas dinner! I was warned by @shangrilachillnj they would be busy, and ordered my dinner two days in advance....and am glad I did. Even after waiting a few extra minutes their food was as tasty and flavorful as ever. They have the best hot pepper beef on the east coast!

Specifically writing about the service- really attentive and fast! They have a variety of cuisine options as well as yummy teas.

We were attending a dance competition at the middle school nearby, and decide to go grab some lunch.
This is a very casual eat in style restaurant / cafe.
I had shrimp wonton soup, my wife the chicken and corn. Both ships were flavorful, fresh and hot.
My wife picked the create your own lunch with shrimp and mixed vegetables of her choosing.
I had the sesame chicken from the other side of the menu.
Both dishes were very flavorful, fresh and filling.
if you are in the area and seeking some decent Asian food, I highly recommend this restaurant, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

This place is great for vegetarians. They have seitan chicken and beef and tofu that you can use in most of the meals. I had the orange seitan beef and it was delicious. I'll definitely go back

We order at this location for our business all the time. The staff is always very welcoming. The food is always amazing. One of our favorite spots to order. Their General chicken is the best.

Always has been a great place to eat some of the best food in the area.

Food is usually always on time if you call it in and the service is exceptional! Look forward to coming every week.

Best shrimp wonton soup, everything is fresh and delicious (pad Thai especially*). Everyone is always so nice - which makes ordering and pick up really pleasant.

3/2024- I'm not sure if this place has changed chefs, but the last few times, it has not been the same, food lacks flavor and now it's extremely greasy.

This is my new favorite place! Due to finding out later in life that I have a gluten allergy, I haven't had much options when it came to Asian food, but when I called to find out about their gluten free wings and the person who answered the phone asked if I would like gluten free soy sauce on my fried rice, I thought I had died and gone to heaven, so I patiently waited for the food to be delivered, although it took over an hour for it to arrive (they did warn during call that they where extremely busy), it was worth the wait, I received good portions and the food is amazing 👏 I'm just so amazed at finally having choices and they actually have flavor! Yes they are also very friendly

Shangri La is fantastic - the food is so tasty, FRESH, and inexpensive. The staff (basically two dudes) are super friendly and accommodating. There's not much seating but that's fine with us. We usually choose weekdays to visit. If you're looking for great food at a reasonable price, Shangri La is your place.

My son and I decided to try this place for lunch today; it was very good. Great lunch specials at a very reasonable price. I had pork wonton soup and orange chicken; my son had same soup and general Cho chicken. We shared fried dumplings. Everything was so good. Restaurant is small and very clean. Our waiter was friendly and service was great. Also if you pay in cash, it’s a 5% discount. We’ll definitely be returning.Sorry I didn’t take any pictures but the presentation was also very nice.

This is long overdue, but I can’t say enough positive things about this place. The guys who work there are great and super knowledgeable about gluten-free options. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ever had here, especially the chicken cucumber salad, pork fried rice, and chicken sautéed in oil and garlic with vegetables. My husband is a big fan of their dry pot chicken but has also enjoyed everything else he has had there. Keep up the wonderful work!

Love this place. Been going there for about a decade now for both dine in and take out, despite moving away from the immediate area. This isn't a cheap, low quality take out place--but they aren't overpriced. Large portions and superb quality. The food is REALLY good and the staff is awesome. My friends and I consider them the golden standard when comparing other Chinese food restaurants. This is one of those places where you can't decide what to order because you want to order everything.

Great service and wonderful food. We've been coming here a long time. Some of my favorite dishes include: chicken lettuce wraps, pork ribs, shrimp wonton soup, and sesame chicken. Being at the restaurant instead of takeout has its advantages, but everything is delicious either way. Saff is great and always on top of everything.
