Beach Haven Fishery

This was a very pleasant surprise. It was late, we were hungry, but we wanted real food and high quality. We couldn't get a reservation anywhere in Beach Haven. We were just driving by and saw folks eating outside so we pulled in.
They have a beautiful menu and also fabulous daily specials. You order at the counter and take your food to the table yourself when they call your name to let you know that it's ready.
So... Wow... Superbly cooked fresh fish. Served takeout style. This is the real deal. Stunningly good. Salads, appetizers, the fish we ordered... Just fabulous... Keep this place hopping and go.

I may be the only person who goes in search of a good burger at place that specializes in fish, but when you hear they have THE BEST burger on LBI, challenge accepted. And this was a winner. Cooked to thick and juicy perfection, the burger was a combination of brisket, chuck and short rib. Ordinarily, I would take any one of those by itself, but combined did make for an amazing burger. And currently, I will rank it as the best I have had on the island. The fries were a great complement to this gourmet burger—nothing ordinary here.

I also ordered hush puppies, as I rarely see these offered, and they were excellent.

Although you could sit in various seating inside, which ranged from a booth to a barstool by the window, I chose to sit outside and enjoy the sun.

Absolutely must stop by when on the island! The food is amazing, the portions are big and the atmosphere is awesome! Feels like visiting the barnacle from the movie Summer Rental except with way better food🤣 BYOB for all us drinkers. Awesome friend staff , plenty of parking for a restaurant on LBI and outdoor seating as well. Have to make it a point to stop by every summer. Thank you!

We loved our visit. Food came out super quick and tasted amazing. My sword fish with lobster was delicious. Prices were pretty expensive, but similar to other restaurants in the area.

We ate here on a Tuesday night before the season started and had the place to ourselves. We ordered the swordfish steak, 3 lobsters, 2 corns, and the NY Strip. It was DELICIOUS! The decor inside is really cool but this place is no frills, they call your order and serve it in to-go containers but you can eat inside. You’re not paying for the plates, you’re paying for the food - and with seafood I appreciated a self-service style where you’re not adding a 20% tip on top. We loved it. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The guys working there were really cool, you’d think they caught the fish that morning. Highly recommend!

The food was unbelievable it was a wonderful experience I would highly recommend anyone come here and try the lobster and fried shrimp I was extremely Please with the overall friendliness and cleanliness of this restaurant This is my 1st time going there and I have to say the food was extremely delicious I highly recommend you come here.

Who cares about the grumpy guy at the counter. (He’s not that bad). Food was good, it came out quick, it’s a byob, and the outside seating was fine. The price is less than 1/2 of what you would pay if you went to another place. Five of us ate for $200. You can’t beat that at the shore. Didn’t have to deal with
trying to get a reservation and waiting forever for a table.

This is the best seafood I’ve had on Long Beach Island. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! Very cool atmosphere. The Tuna Rolls and Tuna Bruschetta are a must. We will definitely be back!

The quality of food at the Fishery is wonderful. The shrimp cocktail is the best I’ve ever had. The owner and staff are lovely! We will be returning every time we’re in LBI!

Best clam strips I ever had! Definitely worth stopping by and trying! Will go back myself!

For a fish market, the food is good. They do not have table service and can get extra busy but the owner does his best to keep things moving. The fish was fresh, soup good, calamari great. It is served in plastic containers. Great for pick up too and enough to share.

Classic shore fish fry (or broiled). Nothing fancy but the food is good. They do get busy but we had no problem getting an indoor table on a Monday night. Seating inside and out. If you're worried about crowds they do takeout

We called in a take out order for 8 dinners and were surprised to hear it would be ready in short order. When we arrived the place was BUSY. Very cool decor - very nice people. Once we got home and dug in to our food we were happy to see everything was just as ordered, with no mistakes. And everyone said their food was awesome. Wings, Clams, Mussels, Flounder, two different Scallop dishes and more - all Excellent !! We will be back!!!

We arrived and were the only customers at the time... it was still ealt for dinner... the girl that was taking our order was nice and attentive. She answered questions and gave suggestions on deciding what we should get... the wait for our food was short and the portions were plentiful. My sister and I shared some clam chowder best I have had in a long time... my sister had gotten a special with lobster, shrimp and scallops and I had gotten jumbo shrimp scampi pasta.... so delicious... and the left overs are even better!!! Thanks for a great dinner will return!!

Dining room was barren at 9 pm on a saturday night, i think because most of their business is take out customers. Very clean little restaurant. Food was good, especially the one pound of mussels for 15 bucks. The best part was the music playing if you like country… heard cody jinks, cody johnson and parker mccollum. Nice surprise being in NJ 👍🏻

Love the Beach Haven Fishery! The most Excellent seafood thanks to the most trusted experienced chefs on the island! We wouldn't go anywhere else for a fresh delicious memorable meal -Always seasoned and cooked to perfection- the service is always consistently excellent. To us it's the best family owned business on the island! They always treat you like family! Just perfect.

We go here every year as a tradition the food is piping hot in the tinfoil and the fries are yummy the coleslaw is so tasty with the fish and fries we love the casual atmosphere with the picnic tables having kids. Love to see a long-standing restaurant on LBI. One meal I like to have is the crispy shrimp I get that every year.
