La Scala Italian Pastry Shop and Bakery

This is one of the best Italian bakeries I've ever been to. The pastries are amazing. They have an amazing assortment of traditional Italian baked goods I'm so glad I found this gem!

Hosted my daughter’s baby shower and LaScala did not disappoint. Delicious, beautiful cake and fresh cookies! Would highly recommend. They were very accommodating since this was held over Easter weekend which is a very busy time.

The best bakery in the area. Sfogliatelle are perfection and bread is always fresh. When I visit my family in north Jersey I always bring pastries from La Scala and they never disappoint.

They seem to have alot of different items. They even have Napoleons that gave real custard (not the white icing). Most bakeries don't even have them. It was delicious 😀 I also got a Eclair; equally taste budlicious😀😀 I would have liked to sample everything😄😄 It all looked so inviting and quite well displayed.

Bought excellent tasting Cannoli cake. Very nice dark hair attractive woman behind counter added nice holiday writing touch with red frost piping. Also bought a nice Foccia for myself couldn't resist..

Delicious cheese cake with blueberries and strawberries. The cake was very fresh and creamy. When you walk in the store you’re like a kid in a candy shop. The smell of fresh bakery goods is amazing.

Great local place to pick up anything from a loaf of bread to desserts for a crowd. The staff is friendly and helpful.

My friend said he was going to take me to the best pastry shop around. So we went one block, just one block from my house! I had no idea this pastry shop was even there! I pass it 100 times a day going to the 7-Eleven, the Dunkin donuts and the gas station. It's right in between all three, I was almost in shock that I didn't even know it was there! Once I walked through the door, I think I just kept repeating 'Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god.' The smell was amazing! I would work there for free but that means I get to eat anything and everything I wanted for free as well! I was looking at everything through the glass and "I want this, no wait" as I kept looking "I want that" or "Oh my gosh that looks so good!" And then I got to the end where the cannolis are. And I love my cannolis! There were three different kinds. Two regular, one with a normal shell and cannoli filling, another with a chocolate shell with cannoli filling and one that looks like a taco but was soft, and had two times the cannoli filling! You can tell which one I bought right? The extra cannoli filling one! I got a coffee as well. The coffee wasn't anything special, I am a coffee snob. Starbucks made me that way, please it's not my fault. But that coffee that I poured, added milk to it, and put two sugar two splendas in, was the best coffee and dessert I've had in, I can't tell you how long! Everything was so good! The customer service was great. The counter girls were so nice, friendly, and patient. The place is clean and smells so good! I just had a great time and me and my friend had some good laughs while eating in the shop. I do want to gate keep this secret but they have huge Nutella jars for sale for $11!!!!! I only get my Nutella from them and of course once I stop in for a Nutella, I have to get a cannoli! I want to try at least one of everything off of the menu because it all looks so good. So La Scala, I'll finally be "slim thick" That's in these days. So thank you! Oh-and Google is asking me for a picture of what I got off of the menu lol-ing out loud. Like there's enough time to take a picture before I start downing the dessert.

Just wanted to say thank you to this place. I messed up big time and forgot to get a custom bday cake for my friends son. I called la scala at 6pm on Friday night and they had a beautiful ninja turtle cake for my friend by Saturday morning. He was able to go scoop it and it literally saved the day. I would have ruined a 2 year Olds birthday if it wasn't for la scala bakery. Thank you

Like a north Jersey shop... delicious patisserie, Italian goodies. Can't be beat in this part of Ocean County.
