I called Levinson Axelrod to discuss medical malpractice in the death of my father-in-law. I selected the firm, along with others, based on a Google search.
I was connected immediately to Shelby Falco, the medical malpractice attorney at the firm. Other firms wanted me to give all the personal and painful details to an admin employee who would then present to an attorney. Ms. Falco took the call, listened to the entire background story, asked questions and sincerely offered her sympathies. She then asked for some time to look into the viability of a case.
Unfortunately, as I had expected, due to the nature of the stroke my FIL had, the outcome might have been sealed right from the start. That said, Ms. Falco had spoke with a medical expert and was able to fill in some blanks for me with regard to his treatment in the ER.
Ms. Falco's intelligence, compassion, passion and commitment was extraordinary. She took what could have been very difficult conversations and turned them into gentle, useful, learning experiences.
All of this, knowing that I would not end up being a client. I can only imagine how wonderful she is to work with if you move forward with a case.
