Hudson House Bar

The Hud is the best bar. To date, it is the only bar I will even consider frequenting. On or off the island it's the best bar around. The atmosphere is fun and the staff is so friendly and accommodating. You can't help but feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. From the shuffleboard table to all the things hanging from the walls there is so much to look at and enjoy. It has the vibe that many others try hard to imitate but seldom do they succeed. It's the dive bar that isn't trying hard to be cool. It just freaking is. Live a little.....try it out and see for yourself...

This place is a gem!!!! A dive bar that's not grimey. Casey at the bar, Mike at the bar....they take care of you!!! Games galore. Get here early and have free run at the games...get here late and wait for the games but enjoy the family of husdon!!!! This place is amazing, I look forward to it. Hudson house is 10 star!!!!!!

Amazing atmosphere, and great service. This place feels like a time capsule! Most importantly, Fabio is the best!!! Love this place & hope it stays this way for years to come. We love the Hud!!

Came here for my 21st & the bar tenders are the sweetest dudes ever. My absolute new bar to go to. Even the bouncer outside was super sweet & said happy birthday to me. My best friend had a margarita & my taste of it it was absolutely delicious

I can't disagree more with anyone who does not feel that this is a 5 star bar. I have been all over the world and this is, hands down, the best dive bar I have ever been to. They have amazing games, fair priced drinks, and you always make friends. If it was possible to do so, I would give this place more than 5 stars (many more....like 11?).

Best bar on LBI! Always go there at least 3 times a year when we rent a house for the week. Love the vibes and the games, always a good time at the HUD! I have purchased many shirts over the years and always get into conversations year round with people in random spots around the state about the HUD.

It's nice to have somewhere to go that isn't always packed with people on vacation. It's a total dive and cash only, but that's what I love about it.

I love a good "locals" bar and that's exactly what the Hud is. This is the place where you can find the hardworking restaurant staff after their shifts. Young, chill crowd. Friendly bartender. Reasonable prices. Plus, a pool table and some other games. Be prepared with cash, as that's all they accept. The Hud closes for the winter soon, but I will absolutely be back! Cheers!

Great local joint. Gets packed beyond belief on weekends in season, but is otherwise a comfortable/cool place to get a post beach brew. Nice selection of games. CD jukebox. Surprisingly good beer selection for only a few drafts.

This is a true BAR. You'll not find a better place to have a drink and spend time with friends anywhere else on the island.

Dive bar with the best atmosphere. If you're hungry you can get a bag of Lays. Other then that you are go for the beer and good spirits. LOVE it! We make it a point to get here once or twice every year we come.

Great local bar for a drink. The place is all cash but the drinks are pretty cheap. The selection is better than you would expect for a smaller place too. The atmosphere is awesome as well. Definitely would recommend for someone looking for a small place to drink.

Great dive bar with reasonably priced drinks and a variety of entertainment while your there. Including hoops, shuffleboard, pool, darts and a punching bag. The jukebox can be updated and they should be able to take debit/credit purchases. There is an ATM there but just plan ahead with you cash, or risk getting banged with ATM fees.

The Hud is one of my favorite bars of all time. It’s perfect for a late night full of beer and music on the jukebox as well as a rainy afternoon of shuffleboard. The bartenders are usually good and there’s always a salty dog sitting at the bar telling hilarious stories.

Excellent dive bar, doesn't get any better

The place hasn’t change one bit in 30 years. And that’s a good thing. Exactly how I remembered it.

A unique experience in a tourist town. Located a little off the beaten path, this is an old fashioned locals place. Shuffleboard, a bowling machine (!) and a great jukebox coupled with a good beer selection makes this a winner.

Great old school bar reasonable prices and friendly bartenders. I bet over the years while it was open they must of smoked a trillion cigarettes in there. Great place since I hate new modern places.
