Holiday Inn St. Louis - Downtown Conv Ctr, an IHG Hotel

Had our company truck breakdown so it was in the shop for 2 1/2 days. Company got us a room here and let me just say the ENTIRE staff here at the Holiday Inn are AWESOME!! Friendly and helpful and always putting a smile on everyone’s faces. Just to let everyone know yes there is construction going on around the hotel and it has nothing to do with the hotel at all and it is just as inconvenient for them as it is for anyone wanting to stay there but the stay is still worth it!!! Rooms are clean and well maintained, beds are soft and will make you fall right to sleep. Also everyone needs to try the hamburger and buffalo wings at the St Louis Sports Hall of Fame Bar and Grill located inside the hotel let me say chef’s kiss!! Best I’ve had in long time!!

I was impressed with how comfortable the beds were as well as how quiet the place is.

The staff was exceptional in how hospitable they were. I felt like I was at home. :)

The restaurant staff was truly lovely and their food selection was pretty decent.

I do have a few suggestions:

Would love to see more vegetarian options being offered for breakfast.
Pancakes/waffles/oatmeal would be nice to add to the menu.

Also, closet space to hang up clothes along with an ironing board/iron would be ideal. Idk if it was just my particular room but not having that was a bit inconvenient.

Overall, this hotel is a wonderful place to stay.

Spent a night & a morning here for MEPS (Army in-processing), absolutely loved it. Everyone at the hotel is nice & loves to help, specifically Willie! He was in charge of making sure all military recruits ate, & made sure to check in on us regularly. If management sees this, Willie deserves a raise— absolutely amazing service & an all around great experience with him taking care of us!

10/10 recommend and will book a room here every chance I get!

It was a weekend full of kids so it was loud and packed with kids everywhere 🙃 so amazing!

It was my wife's birthday weekend and they upgraded us to a really nice room. Phoenix Holiday Inn.

We only stayed one night but will absolutely stay there again when we are back in St Louis. The rooms were very clean and the rest of the hotel was nice and clean as well. Every single employee we encountered were extremely nice and helpful, the front desk clerk, the housekeeper, the server in the restaurant when we had breakfast, even the maintenance personnel were all so nice. They all made our short stay enjoyable.

The front desk people were AWESOME. They accommodated us all. Room was very clean. Had a great time. The only thing was, there was no coffee creamer, and no hot chocolate....but other than that, it was great!

The hotel was great. The chlorine was super strong in the pool to the point that it burned your eyes. But other than that it was a great stay.

Location was perfect, front desk staff was friendly and helpful, great location/proximity to the Convention Center [3 min walk if you cut through the side street] and the hotel accommodations were a pleasant surprise. It's the little things for me: the flexible work area/desk space, having a microwave AND a Mini fridge, and even down to the little soaps in the bathroom!

The front desk was probably one of the best experiences I have had at an IHG hotel.

Really clean rooms. Good Air Conditioning. Located near a bunch of bars and restaurants on Washington.
Across the street from the Convention Center.
Good swimming pool area.
The empty vending machines were a tad disappointing.

The friendliest staff I have ever encountered! Our first room had a strong cigarette smell, but we were able to change rooms with no issues whatsoever.

Location is good for downtown, lots within walking distance. Outside of the control of the hotel, we encountered many homeless individuals asking for money/food

Our experience at this hotel was fantastic. The front desk clerks was very professional. It was kept clean and smelling fresh. And it was very quiet. It was busy with the convention that was going on, however, you didn't even know that it was going on. A lot of guests was checking in and out while we was there, but everyone stayed in their respected space. It was a Restaurant also here to We had to pay 12.99 per person for the breakfast, but it was worth it. Lol 😆, my plate was fully loaded before I ate off of it. We did enjoyed a nightcap at the bar on Friday evening. The only thing that we didn't do was eat there. This city really does have good food. We eaten at different place. And we had really good food at all the place that we ate at. So thanks for your hospitality and great food. And lastly, the people in St. Louis are really friendly and nice 😘

We had a few hiccups with the corporate reservation system but Cynthia at the hotel was PHENOMENAL and helped us so much with getting our booking situated. The room was nice and clean and comfortable, and much larger than expected. Would definitely stay here again :).

Very nice clean rooms. Executive suite was very spacious. Breakfast in the morning is a convenient accommodation of this property. You can also shop at their sundries store for microwavable snack or food options at very reasonable prices. They have a lobby microwave. Check in and out process on both ends were quite fluid and thoughtless. I would stay again. Nice option for families as well.

Everything about our stay at this Holiday Inn was amazing, but by far the most amazing thing was the staff at the hotel. The most friendly, kind, positive, happy, and helpful staff I've come across in a hotel so far. Elisia at the front desk brightened my day every time I walked in the building, or needed new towels, or had questions. She was so positive and courteous, always smiling and doing everything she can to give everyone around her a positive experience.
Keith was always near the door, going out of his way to open the doors and help us as we carried supplies for the convention in and out. The list goes on and on. Just wonderful people.

Very comfortable hotel, great amenities, cool pool, modern rooms, great pillows...couldn't have been happier with my stay here. Will stay here again next time I'm in St. Louis, no question.

I was apprehensive after reading the reviews, but my stay was wonderful! Both Jackie and Jackie along with the staff were very professional. I would recommend putting a luggage scale in the lobby so guest can check their luggage weight prior to going to the airport. It would be a great convenience.

Our stay here was fantastic! The location was pretty convenient, we were able to check in early, and we got a great room. The room itself was a good size and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel had an atrium area with a pool that the inner rooms looked upon. Our room was an inner room. I liked the pool view but slightly missed natural light from the window. We ate one breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We opted for the buffet. The selection was fine, but nothing to write home about. They were out of sliced fruit and didn't restock while we were there.

Love, love, love this property it's clean, updated and minutes from every thing downtown. The folks here are always polite, engaging, and proffesional. We try to make it back to the Lou to attend at least one Cardinals, and one Blues game every year and always stay here. I highly recommend Tom and his staff at the Holiday Inn downtown st. Louis.

We loved our stay. The rooms were nice and very well updated with the newest stuff in them. The kids had fun in the pool. There was a security outside on the lot so we had no worries about our vehicle. There was also security in the building that I saw making his rounds regularly. The gym equipment was clean, and in working order. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting the Saint Louis area.
