The Rafting Co Camping-RV River Resort

We did the 3 mile float so we could take our time and swim. It was the perfect afternoon. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

So I called The Rafting Co on Friday morning to check about availability to camp for two nights and do a 7 mile float. The lady who answered the phone was very friendly and was happy to answer my questions. She said just come on down and we will have availability for tent camping and float. I received the same courtesy when we checked in. She asked if I would like to drive around to find a site and I just asked her to put me at one near the water, due my daylight fading. They gave us site 18 which was right next to the take out and beach front. It was great to hear the water throughout the night and after dark that beach is the best place for stargazing. You could actually see the milky way. There was also a couple who camped across from us that have been camping there for years. They were very friendly and informative along with letting us know if we needed anything not to hesitate. All of the staff was friendly, and made sure you got what you needed to enjoy a trip down the river. They also let you know about stopping points of interest you may want to see. You can tell that the staff is definitely more like family to this establishment than just a random employee. We did not check out any of the amenities, but did see a pool, shower house, bar, and restaurant. There was a live band at the bar/restaurant on Saturday evening that played some great music you could hear through the campgrounds. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend this resort for some family camping and floating fun.

Defiantly my favorite place to be! Extremely family friendly, they make you feel like family! Have great floats can even float by a spring & walk into it, watch out that water is cold but so amazing! They also do great deal with groups if you want them to cook your group a meal! They’ve had a rough time lately with all the flooding but that doesn’t stop them at all! They always make a come back!! Making new improvements to everything! Can’t wait till next season to see how things have changed. They also have one great Halloween bash with blow ups, music, kid friendly games & bar for adults & this year some amazing Christmas lights & blow ups!! These guys put a lot of love into their hard work to keep this place the great place it is! If you’ve never been you really should give it a try it’s beautiful place even for parties or reunions! & Please try to remember they have been recovering from flooding so there may or not be little kinks they’re working through & if you see one let them know help them know about it, Promise it’s worth the trip & visit to go there!!

I think the rafting company was a very enjoyable place. The atmosphere was great and all the people are so nice. We floated on a Monday and had the best service and attitudes from the bus drivers and boat boys. It was a really good time get to look around the cave in the spring and get to stop at the cliff and rope swing for a little extra fun. The food was amazing and everyone inside the store was extremely nice. We rented out the cabin. It fit 8 people. Had two very nice futons and very nice beds I definitely would recommend to anyone

Very nice place! Staff are friendly and very helpful. They answered all of our questions. First time rafting. The staff did everything on their power to help us with our mishap on our camper. We were lucky that a local builder was at the restaurant. Johnny went above and beyond to save our day! Thanks.

My favorite camp ground for 30 years. Spot 18 an19 is so close to the river I can go back and forth to the river all night and day. Shower/ bath house is always clean and the store has most everything you need and a nice deck. This place has cabins and a pool too. Cabin was kinda moldy mildewy couldn't stay there

I have floated through the rafting company many times with family and friends. They’re kind, courteous, and helpful. The float is well mapped out. The kayaks and rafts are very nice and well maintained and I always have a great time. Tina is the person I usually speak with and she is AWESOME! 10/10 definitely recommend!!!!

The owners were great and efficient. We did the 7 mile float, it took us about 5 hours. It was alot of fun. They have a cool spring that you have to check out. Highly recommend renting from them.

This place was a nice surprise. Very reasonable rates. The bar was very popular. Grounds were very well taken care of.

***UPDATE****

We are returning this summer for a family reunion. The reservations were easy to make, even with having 25+ people. Tina is always friendly.

We rented the 2 cabins on a Friday and Saturday night. They sleep 8 people each which gave us plenty of room. The bedroom has its own door and lock. The living room area had 2 full size futons, which were perfect for the kids. They were equipped with Direct TV in the living room. The back door went out to a concrete pad with a picnic bench. The fire pits were located on each side of the cabins. The staff was friendly, the food was good. We will be back.

Clean and quiet. The floats are great. I, my wife and our 2 kids have been there several times to float. We all had fun. They've got full hookups for campers, and lots of tents sites with electric as well.

We love the Rafting company. We camp and float here 3 times each summer. The campground and floating is great. The showers are free and nice. They have a small store with a bar in a restaurant there, which is convenient. They also sell firewood there as well. The employees are always super friendly and helpful. We will continue to keep going back year after year.

Always a great time! We've stayed here at least 3 or 4 different times now and enjoyed every time. Lovely campsite near the river where you can be as secluded as you like. Nice bathrooms and beautiful scenery. Be careful driving around though. Great big holes and rocks in a few places. A truck would be your best bet for some of the places in the campground.

We had a wonderful time today kayaking a 3 mile leg of the Meramec River with The Rafting Co.! It was just right for two relatively inexperienced kayakers. It had just enough current and 'obstacles' for my son to really learn how to manuver the kayak. Service was excellent! Thanks SO much - we will be back to do the 5 mile... maybe the 7.😉

The owners and other workers here are so very kind and helpful. They did everything in their power to help us salvage our camping weekend when we had a camper disaster. The grounds and amenities are kept beautifully and their restaurant food is great. Magnificent float on the upper Meramec.

We are really enjoying our stay, the pool is closed but we didn't come for the pool so we don't care. We have the best camping site. The float was great, just seemed expensive but this is my first float so I don't have anything to compare it to. Will be coming back next year and the next year ECT. The people here are super nice too. They let us stay the first night without paying because they weren't here to check is in, we payed the next day, that's awesome.

Went on my first float trip last weekend. I didn't deal with any of the logistics, but everyone was friendly, the campsite was nice, and I had a great time. They are currently re-flooring their shop since it was flooded, but there is a Walmart not too far away for easy access to last minute items you might need.

Very convenient off the highway. Quiet little area. Reserved cabins for the weekend. Basic in regards to furnishings, but had everything we needed. Would recommend bringing cookware, flatware and plates though as they arent provided. They have a bbq pit and a fire pit on each side of the cabin which is nice. Went up to bar area at night and will say they have good prices on buckets and the wait staff was so nice and professional. Would recommend this place to anyone. Will return soon

The rafting company understands what customer service is all about. We switched to the rafting company after a horrible experience with huzzah valley resort who seems to be more about the almighty dollar than customer service. The whole staff at the rafting company is professional and reliable. I have been going there for years and have always had a great experience. When friends ask me where the should float immediately I tell the the rafting company. No one in that area will take care of you like they will.

I have now done a float trip for my company and a just recently, a camping/floating trip with my family here. I can't recommend this place enough for either occasion. If you're a large group of adults that want to party they will accomodate you. Large camp sites and the bbq dinner is THE BOMB! However, what I was most impressed with was how they handled the family situation. They gave us a campsite far enough away from the large adult groups to do the family thing and not have to worry about the rowdiness. When they picked us up on the bus to head to the river, the driver explained that he would let the groups ahead of us know that we had kids on board and to watch their language etc. I explained that it was not a big deal and we knew what we were getting into but he insisted and I very much respected the gesture. Class act! Awesome place to go camping and floating, from the owners to the staff, service is unmatched!
