ROSE'S LODGING

A very charming simple hotel. I was informed that the hotel is under new management/ownership. The family that ran the hotel was very nice, and not pretentious at all. Genuinely hospitable, a pleasure to speak with. I was told that they were finishing major renovations.., explaining the simplicity of the room., which was very clean. The bathroom was small, but very nicely done. with modern fixtures. The shower was rather refreshing , nice flow and plenty of hot water.. The bed was comfortable and i slept well. The fridge and microwave came in handy. The temperatures were in the single digits (5 degrees average) and the snow falling for days, but I was nice and toasty. there were no draft s and the heater worked great. . I was able to park right in front of my room and the parking lot was well plowed, making it easy to get food or go to the casino. There are still some finishing touches that re being addressed. but overall, I highly recommend.to all my friends and family, . I will absolutely, most definitely stay again.

Decent Budget type hotel. Clean and Cozy. Friendly staff. The heater was a window unit and fairly noisey but for the price was was well worth the money and i will stay here again.

Room is great for a single person. Has fridge and microwave. Direct tv and flat screen. Nice place to stay. Quiet

OK place if you're in desperate need of a bed. Not impressed with the service tho.

First: thank you to the lady for getting my husband a room on short notice on an MU game weekend. That being said, room not good. Newly remodeled? Bathroom, only 1 towel an 2 washcloths, still damp. Only place to put anything was on back of toilet. No trash can anywhere. Refrigerator brown on inside. Bed, 1 fitted sheet, to small, 1 very thin blanket, 2 pillows that were so flat. Bed had a large piece of dirty plastic under sheet. I thank the lady for taking time out of her day before she left for St. Louis, but wish we had looked elsewhere.

I rented a room for a month as I waited on a house closure... the very first day I spent over an hour sweeping and Clorox wiping everything. The bathroom trashcan had trash in it,  and there were clumps of hair and dirt not only under the bed and the dressers but in the open areas of the floor as well. There was grimy sticky stuff on the surface of the fridge and the entertainment center. It was evident that the room had not been cleaned before I got there.
I was given one towel and there were 2 huge holes in it. Two extremely flat pillows a very thin blanket that if you removed you would see dirty stuff all over the sheets.
That night I took a shower, and there was literally dirty brown Water standing. I felt like I was back at basic training showering with my sandals on  so that I wouldn't get any foot fungus... I went to the office to see if they could come fix it and the lady gave me CLR and a plunger to plunge it in case it happened again! There's also a very strong poop odor that comes after you run hot water for a while.
A few days into my stay, I found a baby ringneck snake in my room. I went to the office to see if they could come remove it as I do not like snakes, and the guy didn't even remove it he had someone else staying there come and get it out.
The walls are paper-thin. You can hear the TV from the next room and smell the smoke through the walls. So you constantly have to keep your air conditioner running even though it says change filter and you can feel and smell that the filter needs changed.
It was an extremely horrible experience. And I understand now why they have no refund signs in the office

Do not stay here! Our rooms were cancelled on May 25th without notice even though we had reservations and confirmation numbers and had called two weeks prior to confirm. We were talked to very rudely when inquiring about what happened and then the person hung up on us- twice! They overbooked and we were stranded on a bicycle trip without a vehicle or lodging.

One of the worst places you can ever sleep in. The lady who runs it her name is Michelle and she is a monster from hell. Her attitude is Way Beyond professional her mannerisms is indescribable and she does not know how to properly manage or run a hotel that is evident. They need to get another person to run their hotel as well as the Rose Lodge up the street. She does not know how to talk to people and when she does talk to folks you can better believe it will be in argumentative conversation. At times it appears as if she is under the influence of substance all the time. She is manipulative and not a good business woman. If you can help it please do not rent a room from homestead or roses lodging under no circumstances no matter how nice roses lodging looks the management that is behind that is not worth your time or money.
