We enjoyed our first camping getaway of 2024 here. Welcoming staff, large well-stocked store with everything you’ll need and camp sites right along the river. Campgrounds are clean, hookups for power and water, and good spacing between sites. Can’t wait to come back in summer for a float trip!

Best camping place! Super friendly staff (Thanks for all you do!) Beautiful and spacious campsite. Lots of fun activities. One of my very favorite places to go (and I do several times a year) the campsites are so clean and well kept. The store has everything and the will even deliver pizza and wings to your campsite if you don't feel like cooking after a long day on the river.

This place is absolutely beautiful! The 6 mile float was so worth it and very clean. Definitely recommend making a stop here. We camped at T which was isolated from everyone else. The resort is well kept and has many things to do. Security patrols through out the day and night which was nice. Showers are .50 so be prepared. If you have Verizon be prepared to not have service.

This place was awesome. They were FULLY staffed, and they were all as friendly and nice as could be. The camp sites were all clean and very kept up. All you had to do was drive up to the front where you check in and park. Then you get your raft or canoe and in you go. When you get done there's a bus waiting for you and takes you right back to your vehicle. They have a playground and horses and all kinds of stuff to do. All 4 of us took showers for $1.00. Good water pressure. Hot water. We absolutely loved it. Plus town is only like 10 minutes away so we took a break from camping and went and had a sit down meal in the air conditioning at a local restaurant.

It's a bit of a trek from St. Louis, but well worth it for the awesome experience - the river has crawdads and fish and amazingly cool rocks (including geodes) for kids to explore, and frequent banks perfect for picnics. There are some shallower areas that require a bit of portage, and rope swings set up along deeper stretches as well as calm tree-covered tunnels- I like the size of the river before it joins up with the Meramec, it seems easier to get in&out of the vehicle (raft, canoe, kayak or tube) and a lot of the others were long-standing repeat floaters from our conversations.
For someone who typically isn't a fan of technology, their updated online paperwork made it SO MUCH EASIER to get to the fun part - especially when you have small kids who want to be there and in the water already.

My first time here, and it was wonderful (even though it rained the first night) everyone was friendly, camp grounds clean, have grill, fire pit, store on property for almost anything you need. Did the float trip, my first time, it was great! So much gun! Will definitely go again!!!

I have floated the Huzzah from here for two years in a row on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Both times, the experience was excellent!! Great facilities, good people, safe equipment, smaller crowd, clear, clean water and lots of FUN!! You will be happy you floated here!!!

We have done float trips here several times. The staff is always very friendly and quick at their jobs. They have nice facilities for changing and a well stocked shop to pick up souvenirs or anything you forgot. The grounds are always nicely kept.
We have had friends camp here, the sites are small and crammed together but right next to the creek which is nice.

Great location! plenty of spaced out camping and cabins. We have a cabin with a great view and spaced nicely from other cabins.
Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful.

My family used to come here when I was younger and stay in the campsites. I've decided to bring my family now as an adult 20 years later. We stayed in a cabin, which fit 2 adults, 3 kids and a dog very comfortably. We also went on a float trip which was long and very scenic. We had food ordered which we had to place the order in the main office as we didn't have cell phone service way out here. The food was cheap in price and decent in quality, but cheaper than I expected the resort delivered food to be. I would definitely recommend this for families. We had our dog in the cabin as well as the raft for the float trip, so definitely pet friendly as well.

So happy to have spent my weekend here! The water was clean, clear, and beautiful! Plus, it was the PERFECT temperature for me personally. I had two knee surgeries last year and I have bone spurs, arthritis, herniated discs, and scoliosis in my lower back and that cool water was so completely therapeutic. I felt great all day long and couldn't wait to get back in it the next day! The raft we rented was of the best quality and, brush after tree, I felt safe the entire time. The staff at the store are SUPER friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our site was clean, and the johnny in our area was spotless! I would highly recommend Huzzah Valley Campground to anyone who wants a fun, quality trip.

Clean, reliable, well run campground. It's huge actually, easy to get lost. Flot trip was exceptional as always.

Had a wonderful time with the family canoeing and kayaking. Very easy, just walked in pay for our canoes and kayaks. And off to the waters. Waters wasn't too high so it was better for the swimming 12 yrs old and up.

The Huzzah Valley Resort does a fantastic job making the float trip a cinch and a fun time. We’ve begun an annual tradition of floating at Huzzah for my wife’s work friends (real fun group of people), and we always have so much fun… If asked, I would definitely recommend floating the Huzzah to any of my friends!! 🛶😊👍🏽

Restful. 10 miles out of the town of Steelville. This time of year, we didn't need reservations. Daphne will help you.
We hiked a lot. Beautiful mornings. Full hookups. The office/store has just about everything, even at this time of year, if you forgot something.

Great place to float, camp or just spend the day at a site with friends for a cookout and some time in the water!

I've been here three times. Twice to float. Great fun. The DJ in camp is an awesome idea. Only issue was the trash in our site that wasn't cleaned up. Otherwise a very nice place. I'm hoping to go back soon.

Remarkably clean, well-maintained and beautifully located resort with very helpful and friendly staff. Crystal-clear river where we spent about 5 hours on our floaties, lazily drifting under the tree coverage. Spacious camp sites, full hook-up for our travel trailer. Will certainly see this place again!

I had a great time motorcycle camping during a cross country ride from Toronto to San Diego. The grounds are comfortable and the pay showers were clean and a good value at ¢.50 for about 5 minutes of hot water. 👍🏾
