I recently visited again after not having gone since I was a kid. This store is even cooler than I remembered! I really enjoyed seeing the marble making demonstration, and there were lots of cool games and toys along with beautiful marbles to choose from. It's a gem of the greater Kansas City area. Please go and support this business.

Fun family experience to witness artistry first hand. See actual demos of glass fired marbles in person. This fascinating craft is inspiring to witness. Afterwards see the KC institution toy store and marble imperium. Thousands of sizes and colors either hand crafted locally or from across the country. Works of art for all budgets or mass produced for the kids to collect. This does not include the hands on toy section marble run, joke section, old fashioned toys, every toy that uses marbles and old fashioned country store charm and decor that takes adults back in time to their childhood. Come once and come back.

This place was so fun! We went as a home school field trip with 3 other families. The gentleman doing the demo of how they make marbles by hand was so good with all the kids and explained everything and answered questions so well.
We looked around the store for a while and each family bought some suvineers from our day. I would say everything was fairly priced. Sometimes you go into these little stores and they are price gouging you, not at Moon though.

We ended up going back a couple of weeks later to get something that was left behind and the staff was so kind. We ended up chatting with the women working the front desk and buying marbles so I could teach my kids how to play the game.

Moon Marble has been a source of delight and amazement for more than a quarter of a century. The live marble making by owner Bruce Breskow is a show stopper, but there is much more to this step back in time shop. They also stock machine made marbles in a multitude of colors and designs in sizes from pee-wees to 50mm. We were also impressed with the variety of traditional toys and games and gift items that are featured. As much an attraction as a retail outlet, Moon Marble is worth the stop.

This place is so much fun to go in and check everything out. I got to watch an awesome marble making demonstration. The woman doing the demo was very knowledgeable and informative. She answered all the questions everyone had. There is an impressive collection on display that's worth viewing.

I will be back, Bruce the marble maker was very helpful and kind on getting the socially awkward child to loosen up and participate. Make sure you purchase something because that's the way they stay in business I would say you spend about an average of $25 a trip. They also have skin tone friendly toys.

This place is amazing!!! They have so many great things I don't even know where to begin. The staff there is fantastic! We were able to watch a few marbles get made. The owner is such a neat guy. I could tell he had a love for his artistic talent. The prices here are great. This is a place I could spend all day at. Love it!

Our family recently had the privilege of visiting the Moon Marble Company in Bonner Springs, Kansas. If I could, I'd award it more than 5 stars because it was an experience far beyond any conventional expectations.

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of excitement and discovery. The shop itself is a treasure trove, with an extensive selection of kid's toys and an impressive array of marbles, catering to everyone from young enthusiasts to adult collectors.

The highlight of our visit, however, was undoubtedly the marble making demonstration by master craftsman David Shatto. His mastery and passion for the craft were evident in the two exquisite marbles he created right before our eyes.

David generously shared his expertise on the process, meticulously explaining the difference between soft and hard glass and demonstrating the art of painting marbles with dark glass. The inclusion of interior metals in his designs took the marbles from being simply beautiful objects to unique pieces of art.

Watching the transformation from raw materials to finished art pieces was an incredibly insightful journey. His demonstration was educational, engaging, and fascinating to watch, regardless of age. It was a remarkable hands-on experience that captured the magic of marble-making.

Moon Marble Company goes beyond just a shopping experience - it offers an education, a show, and most importantly, an unforgettable memory. It truly is a hidden gem that provides fun for the whole family. I highly recommend this attraction to anyone looking for a unique, hands-on, and delightful experience. Can't wait to return to this marble wonderland!

My husband and I both enjoyed our visit. Lots to look at it as you mosey around. Bigger than we expected. We also really enjoyed the demo too! Had you not had to wait for the marble to cool until the next day, we would’ve asked to buy the one made..It was cool! Bruce was friendly and welcoming. Happy with our purchases as well! Thanks!

Great place for kids and families to learn from their live demonstrations. Plus they have an eclectic array of unique and retro toys and games that you won't see in most toy stores. An excellent example of a Mom & Pop shop that you feel good about supporting!

During the last week of December 2022, we traveled to the Kansas City area to visit as many unique places as possible before we closed out another year. In the weeks leading up to the trip, a very close friend recommended the Moon Marble Company, which I had not personally ever heard of even though I've been to Kansas City countless times. I did my research, planned my days and made sure to make time to visit this unassuming yet unique company / store / factory (as described by my friend). It is about 30 minutes from the north side of Kansas City Missouri so it is a little ways away but I'm so glad we decided to make the trip! We arrived just in time to see a live demonstration of color being added to a marble, by who I assume was artisan and owner Bruce Breslow. We did miss at least the beginning process but were able to catch the last 15 to 20 minutes, which was fascinating all in itself. Demonstrations are not the only thing they do. They also have several rooms of unique hands on games, toys, trinkets as well as give you an opportunity to purchase marbles.....which we just had to do. Plus, it is always a nice bonus when people care about their business and reflect that in the way they treat customers, great people with a smile and are willing to help and answer questions. Don't let the distance, exterior of the building or the fact that the location is literally right next to active train tracks deter you from visiting, even though parking was a little muddy since it's well below the street and building level. This is most definitely a MUST STOP when anywhere near the area!

Super fun place to visit on any trip to KC. Family really enjoys the feel of the place and the atmosphere. The demonstration is fun and informative and makes you want to try your hand at working with the glass. These guys are true artists and make pieces any collector would love to have. Looking for something unique in way of a gift this place will have something you never knew you were actually looking for, isle after isle is full of things that will make you think of different friends or family members. Before you know it you just spent an hour or two shopping in this wonderful place.

Went to The moon marble company last week on a road trip across the United States. This had to be Our favorite stop we made along the journey. Bruce showed us around the shop and told us all the history of the store and showed us how how he makes marbles. I would highly recommend anyone passing through to make a stop there it is well worth the time. We will definitely be recommending it to our friends and family.

Absolutely delightful! Charming owners and really cool marbles. Definitely worth going out of our way! At the moment, you need to make an appointment and there are no demos. Mask required. I recommend the Moon Marble Company with no hesitation. Thank you for a fun visit!

So many fun things to look at and such a neat experience if you get to watch them make a marble! They have several items in the store that are just decor, not for sale, but I lived several of them as a kid.
