Holiday Inn Express Kansas City - at the Legends, an IHG Hotel

Late review…… My husband and I stayed here in March 2024. This hotel was one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed at. The front desk staff was absolutely AMAZING! Housekeeping was on top of everything and even gave me a few tips on how they keep the hotel smelling so good. Not an overbearing cleaner smell but a very nice clean smell that I LOVED. 🥰 The ladies serving breakfast were so kind and friendly. We felt like we were a part of something instead of guests checked into a hotel. Anything and everything you need/want is at your fingertips. From some of the best shopping to the best restaurants within in seconds/minutes away. Will be back for years to come. CAN’T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL ENOUGH! Thank you for everything and making our mini vacation one of the best ones yet!

The hotel was under renovation during our stay, so we have great hopes for the minor inconveniences in upkeep, but I wanted to be sure to leave a review as the staff was superbly kind and accommodating during our stay. Rarely did we make a trip downstairs without being asked if we needed anything. The breakfast crew was particularly diligent to keep the buffet well-stocked during the breakfast rush.

Great staff, really good breakfast options, and a well-cleaned room. I loved that there was full size bottles for lotion, shampoo, and conditioner (and they were Dove!). The location was also perfect, since it’s just across the street from Legends. I’d definitely stay here again.

Went for a KC sporting game. Rooms seem to be recently renovated. Bed very comfortable, breakfast was passable, staff were polite. Despite location right next to the interstate, couldn’t hear a thing from our room! Pool was closed when we went but staff had informed us in advance

Check in was a breeze. Friendly and courteous and breakfast was super. The only thing was the highway construction, however that will make the roads that much better. Great stay!

The employees were very friendly and had a great breakfast. Great stay, great location.

The first night we were there, we called at 10pm and needed a Handicap Accessible room. They told us it was. It wasn't. We stayed the night and talked to the front desk the next morning. They changed our room to a more Accessible room. And give us a nice discount because of our troubles. The staff was overly friendly and happy to serve. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is very clean.

Everyone was so nice and accommodating. From providing early check in to the end of the stay , they did all they could to make our stay a success. They gave me the quiet room I asked for and even supplied a fan. since I forgot mine. The front desk person for the evening was really kind and went out of his way to help us. The place is really clean. Breakfast is one of the better ones I have had at one of these types of places. Sausage links, pancakes, fresh cinnamon roll, an omelet type egg dish, biscuits and gravy and lots of pastries, bagels, cereals and the other normal things you would find there. The only problem I had was the hot tub was not working. I had called the day beforehand the day of, to verify it worked, but it was colder then the pool. It ended up not being a big deal because the heated pool was a really nice temperature, so I was able to use that. Great staycation for a fun girls trip. Try happy hour at the Yard House. We walked there and had a great time.

The room was clean except for some black hair in the shower. Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub! Breakfast was good as well. All the employees we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again!!

Above average even for a Holiday Inn Express. Room was clean and comfy, breakfast was great, hot tub was not terribly hot but still provided pain relief, and the location was highly convenient. The staff was friendly as well.

Customer service is always key! From booking to checking out this hotel proved they take pride in their customer service! Our young lady (Diamond) was nothing short of amazing. She is a true asset to Holiday Inn Express and we appreciate her professionalism and kindness! We will be return customers here for sure!!!

I love the new layouts. We had a king bed in a huge room. It was clean and nice. The only bag review would be the shower. Was not aware it was only a shower and then to top it off the water was like warm at best(rooms were full). Over all the stay was great. Breakfast finished it off spectacular for free.

One of the best Holiday Inn locations we've stayed at! Great job folks! Keep up the great work! We'll see you again real soon!

Great hotel in a great location, I can't wait to visit again.

Staff was extremely nice and welcoming! Very clean. Sheets and comforter were so soft I wanted to steal them. Beds were very comfortable. Very good daily breakfast. Staff knew we were staying for several nights so they gave us a very large room at the base rate. Would absolutely stay here again!

Gorgeous rooms, wonderful amenities, perfect stay. The hot tub and pool we're so soothing (until kids and distracted parents bombarded us), the bathrooms were stocked with things I didn't even think of bringing, and the front staff was delightful. I will definitely stay here again.

Random thought.. why not let the pool & hot tub be open just an hour later without minors, that would have made it perfect. No one likes being "accidentally" splashed over and over while shouts and screams are reverberating against your ear drums.

Best place that we have stayed in in a while. Nice and clean plenty of chlorine in the pool. Breakfast was amazing. Just a few minutes from everything. Nice helpful staff. Staff was very accommodating when it came to quieting some runners over our head at night.

Great place to stay. They have a friendly staff always willing to help. The breakfast was great and the indoor pool/hot tub made the stay perfect.

In my opinion, this place is five star all the way! You have comfort, you have ease,(I am disabled so, finding things that are easy for me, are hard to find) and you have the nicest staff on hand. They make you feel like you are the only one who matters. They have a Pool with jacuzzi that was so needed after a long drive, and soft beds so you can wake up to a Real breakfast. Not some silly toast to go, but sausage and eggs, or omlets, cinnamon rolls and juice. If you can't feel comfortable here, you won't be comfortable anywhere. This is the place to go.

Under the sofa bed, we found a half way can of pringles. 😞
